You can just copy definitions and exturder file from sovol version of cura into the regular cura... works for both windows and mac.

I'm into 3D printing, but never thought about wearing it. I'm a mechanical engineer, but thanks YT. Have to admit, pretty wild video as far as learning something new. Now I want to make 3d printed fashion itens as well hahaha

This is such a great review. I've seen so many reviews that dive into the fine details, using all the terms associated with 3D printing. Those videos are great if you already know a lot about 3D printing and are looking for your third or fourth machine. Those videos aren't ideal for someone wanting to get their first printer. I love this video because it is exactly the kind of information someone interested in getting into 3D printing and fashion would need to know. Love it!

Thanks for saying the best way to get the PEI sheet. Upgrading the printer is one of the simple joys for me, and that bed sheet was alluding me on Amazon. My main reason for getting it is the larger build volume and the dual nozzle so I can use mirror mode and print out some audio equipment that I'm designing.

Love all your projects :) This machine looks less intimidating in your video, good to know it doesn't have to get particularly tinkery once you know it.

You look like you're pretty proficient at 3D printing. Im into RC Airplanes but also like sewing and could see dabbling in fashion. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and have worked on my Ender 3 extruder for printing TPU and was able to get it to work well (and its a Bowden type) if you remove the spring and grind it down on one side (shorten it a tiny bit) it should have less pressure on the flexibles. That or if you can find a slightly softer spring. The material you made with the mesh fabric imbedded is awesome. I realized you could cut a pretty big section of the mesh and keep printing another and another section. Rolling up the already printed part and somehow hanging it off the side or back. Anyway cool work youre doing!

Very cool! Are you in a humid climate? Wondering if I need a drier......
@SewPrinted2 жыл бұрын
Good question. I have had trouble printing with TPE in humid climates since they absorb a lot of moisture. I tried putting the spools in bags of rice for a while but the filament dryer was what finally did the trick 👌🏼

Great job! The settings need to be dialed in for fabric printing. I am looking for some good files to print on fabric.

Interesting video. Would it be worth trying to run that Windows only software on your mac by using a virtual machine?
@SewPrinted2 жыл бұрын
Oh interesting, hadn’t thought of this. I’ve used a Parallel’s desktop before for running 3d modeling software and I think it could definitely be an alternative to those with Macs. Thanks for bringing it up👍🏼

So can you tell me about the black and white houndstooth you had on the Bed? I would love to find a file to make that with my 4.

Tree supports would of probablly worked better on your purse design for removal, especially with the new alpha cura that's just been released this week.

How come no vids? you dont have much on youtube. Also for those bits on tiktok with tpu what glue were you using as the biggest problem I am having with tpu is nothing sticks to it. superglue, gorilla glue, epoxy, e6000 all peel off, tetrahydrofuran a solvent is supposed to be the thing to use but cant be got in my country. were you using tetrahydrofuran?

Unfortunately the SV04 does not have all metal hot ends. At least mine does not. It does have metal extruder parts not plastic. Love the videos though.
