@@nadir3D I real like the prospect of multiple tool heads. Was hoping this was a possibility on this platform. Also I'm interested in an enclosure and a filter. I've been working on a magnetic panel mount design I made based on their 3D models. We'll see if it fits and will work really soon here.

@@sunriseshellDon't worry, I don't think many SV08s will be left as stock. How are you finding the printer? (mine came last weekend)

@@nadir3DPay as you go/ grow will be nice. Going all in a once with 7 toolheads will cost a small fortune! Maybe I need 3... Bigger nozzle for infills, plus accent colour. 🤔

Is there any chance to make an other version of the SPARTACUS with BIGTREETECH Eddy leveling tool?
@nadir3D3 ай бұрын
we have a lot of requests for Eddy. and we are under developing a new carriage to can "hide" it as close to the nozzle

Great stream Nadir, I like the new updates! I thought also about the tool changer of the vorons and looked for some tutorials, but don't thought that you are the one who make my dreams come true 😂 I cross my fingers that you will get your sv08 before the weekend and will wait for your unpacking video😅

Are threaded inserts going to be strong enough to push the X/Y belt tensioner? Might be difficult given the Z belt path but I think a BFI-like setup where a screw and nut are compressing everything would be more robust.
@nadir3D3 ай бұрын
It is a good Point of view. we have tested the threaded insert installed from behind and they hold ok. we will make also a version with a nut. Thanks for pointing it out

Its hard to pull the trigger on a SV08. with enclosure 749. I do want to print ABS Qidi max 3 for $50 more but loose 1 inch on x y and little more on the Z but 2 hotends, 1 hard 1 soft, textured and smooth build plate. and heated chamber. I really want to update this year, my printers are old. i want to move to Klipper + my bed just died on one of my fav printers. its like 5 years old....
@nadir3D2 ай бұрын
but the version withou the enclosure. otherwise you need to print the top hat. and make your own enclosure. www.printables.com/model/879399-sovol-sv08-panels-for-the-enclosure

@@nadir3D I ended up doing both a SV08 and a qidi max 3. (Prime day good sale for the max 3) I print a lot of PLA +, PETG and Aero for my RC stuff and i need high temp parts to hold the motors. i figure its time to retire my CR-10S's anyway. I know a good makerspace they can goto.

Are these parts available for purchase or must they be printed? The OEM parts are injection molded and are much stronger than printed parts. Will we be able to buy the parts from PCBway?

Damn, you guys have put a lot of work in (I also have an SV08 on order). There's so much potential! (I'd be pretty happy with two tool heads, rather than switching filiment). I'm surprised the Voron team were so dismissive. It's lowering the cost of entry, and getting more people on board. They could steer something really big (work with companies on licensing, quality/ standards), but instead, they act like elitist d*cks. I'm not sure if it's money or egos (they still think covid testing is a thing🤦♂). [No hate directed at the guys. It's just frustrating seeing the the likes of Bambu & Prusa amase a mountain of patents and all that's left is endless Ender 3 clones. I don't have an affiliation with any of the above companies]

thanks, yes he have put a lot of work on this project and we are still improving and developing it. thanks to the awesome community that gave us a lot of feedback. Regarding what you the 2 toolhead we have just tested it is space for 7 Spartacus. :D and at first we will build one with the 2 versions of Spartacus BMG and LGX to have for live comparison on the same machine to see the true power of the LGX version.

Agree that Nadir and his team's work here is impressive. As for the Voron team, have you seen how clumsy Sovol's early marketing was? In terms of "working with companies" Voron is an open source non-profit and they don't directly endorse anyone; at most I think they can provide feedback / sanity checks to those who'd listen.
@sunriseshell3 ай бұрын
@garethevans9789 What do you mean by "The Voron team were dismissive"?
@garethevans97892 ай бұрын
@sunriseshell I can name 3 members of the Voron team that made a point of getting rid of their SV08s ASAP. I'd call that very dismissive. They see the SV08 as a threat, not an addition to the Voron line. Voron has a strong (but niche) brand, that has value, but it's being squandered! Being open source or nonprofit doesn't mean they cannot charge for their services. They could steer/ accredit products & quality (standard tool head connectors & cables, tool head mounts etc...). Which would benefit all parties (like 80plus PSUs for instance). Instead they throw passive-agressive remarks making companies think twice about building a relationship with Voron. (I'm a software developer and already have a couple of ideas for Orca & Klipper, something Voron stands to benefit from)
@garethevans97892 ай бұрын
@@LouisCYULMore reason to work with companies. A little consulting would benefit the Voron team and saved Sovol a lot of money in the process (while also benefiting customers). There's also potential revenue streams from licensing/ accreditation. Not to mention steering & standardising the essentials. Everyone is a winner!
