I was internationally adopted from Korea as a baby. My parent definitely were amazing at trying to keep me in touch with my heritage with books and movies documentaries and got me a hanbok, both as a child and adult. However, one area I have struggled is actually learning and understanding language and would love to teach my daughter since she is half Korean. Thank you for sharing and hope you’ll do more relaxing ASMR videos like this. It’s soothing and interesting. Thanks again!

The way you explained that the position of the vowels from horizontal and vertical is a really great tip for beginners to figure out how to write in Korean. I only casually try to learn Korean. Back then, I had a really hard time to write the proper placements of the letters, I only learned it through looking at Korean words for a year. And I have never encountered other youtubers use that as a tip.

This was insane! I had an amazing nap, just woke up and i just feel like it was super soothing, no harsh sounds. My top fav asmr video right know! Pleaseeee make a 2. Part of this Video. Actually when i learned Hangul years ago, it took me so long to understand how to read certain words. For e.g the ending -imnida is not -ipnida but -imnida. The ends of a few words are pronounced very diffrently then one might assume.

It may just be because it’s the only other non-latin alphabet language I’ve learned, but Han Gul and the Russian Alphabet have a few similarities it seems! Particularly in the way that something is “added” to make a consonant hard (in Han Gul, the letter again, in Russian, the additional letter ы, and having separate vowels for the sound by itself and the sound+ the “y” sound. Its also a pretty interesting coincidence that г and ㄱ are so similar looking!

As someone with an auditory processing disorder (for those that don’t know what that is, it basically means I may either process audible things incorrectly or even not at all. I’m not deaf, my hearing’s actually pretty good! It’s more so something with my brain causing it, iirc), writing everything down is super helpful on top of how calm (and easy to keep up with, as sometimes I can’t keep up well if someone speaks fast) your voice is while talking.
