I’m bilingual in both English and Korean, and I have to approve that this dude is a genius. He explains every important feature in Korean letters in a way easier way to memorize for English speakers. The examples attached on the each letter have no correlation to the origins or the meaning but they facilitate associations to the pronunciations of the letters.

As someone learning Korean, when I saw the title I thought it would be a scam but I must say it's real, this does teach you Hangeul, althought this is not all the Korean, he didn't mention the tense consonants (kk, tt, jj, pp, ss) some aspirated consonants (k, t, ch) and the double vowels (wa, wo, wae, we, oe, wi, ui) but this is a really good start!, I hope everyone that wants to learn Korean sees this video so they have a solid base.

Awesome video. Just to add to Sam's excellent teaching - 'ㄱ' (which sounds as G (as gun) as it looks like one) is also the position of your tongue when you pronounce it in Korean. 'ㄴ' (which sounds as N (as nose)) is also the position of tongue when pronounced. History implies the Korean language was developed from a group of people and a king (Sejong, 세종) - around approx 650 years ago. Obviously one needs to practice - but it's relatively easy to learn at the beginning.

Have heard for years that Korean is easy to read and was curious to see if it’s true. Looked up how to read Korean on Google and this came up. I’ll admit I’m a slow learner and didn’t think I would actually be able to learn too much from a short video but wow was I wrong. This actually helped me learn quite a bit in a short time! I was reading the words on the right like Samsung before he even got around to teaching what it said! A VERY well made lesson😊

To be honest, that’s easier than I thought. Just practice a little and remember all those characters and you have it. The little descriptions like “nose”, “gun” and stuff helped a lot as well. I’m not planning on ever learning Korean but knowing the writing system wouldn’t hurt, right? I can remember things quite easily and well, maybe that’s an advantage for these kind of things :3
