i’m not gonna come for anyone for their views on BDS but i personally, the moment i saw a video of trash left by iof in one of the sites they were in and it was full of brands on the BDS list i knew i could never put any of them in my mouth ever again i felt sick to my stomach, i started boycotting before that but that video truly made me feel like i could throw up if i were to put any of them in my mouth, whatever you think about your faves whether you think they should be blamed or not, if you truly care don’t be swayed by your faves promoting brands on the bds list.

I am not familiar with nct as group, but I recently got into another kpop group and I am old kpop group and see lot main dancers being strict with their members cuz of being perfectionists, you see haechan as just 16yr child but his team mates don't see him that way they see him as fellow member who need to be in shape for the group project to be perfect.

@sakurakou2009 My point still stands. If you are so worried about your teammates' weight, measure it accurately with the correct instruments, and everyone agrees on it. How come Yuta only mentions Haechan and not something like "I would get angry/annoyed with him and the others" too? Of course, it is still wrong, but at least it is fair. If you are doing a choreo with acrobatics, you rehearse and check the choreo properly, but you can still modify it to everyone's commodity. Blackpink used to do a simple acrobatic trick with Jennie jumping and the rest of the group lifting her, but they changed that because Jennie would often kick them in the head, and that was potentially dangerous, none of Blackpink's members are especially known for being "overweight". We know Haechan is a member of NCT as well, but Yuta targeting HIM, especially and having no shame in talking that way about him goes from weird to harmful. How come Yuta didn't mention anything about the other members? Again, not correct, but they're your members too, why don't you check on them like you do with Haechan? Lastly, so now we rank people's hard work based on their weight loss capacity, an audacity considering idols don't have the cuture of doing exercise to lose weight, most of the people promotes st4rving. If weightloss equals hard work you wouldn't see idols perfectly according to beauty standards but with mediocre idol abilities.

#2 is missing some context-yuta wasn't doing this randomly, it was during the part in firetruck choreo where 127 had to lift haechan. yuta was supporting one of haechan's feet (during part of the move, it was just one member supporting each of his feet and one spotting in the back while they were lifting him up) and injured his knee during that part, so he told haechan not to eat before practice bcz he was struggling w/ the move. obviously there's better ways to go about this like telling the choreographer, but we have no way of knowing if he tried doing that or not. full disclaimer i'm not trying to defend him, i'm just adding important context that was reported in many other vids/articles

It doesn't matter if she did come out or not, I'll support her either way, though I do feel it was an odd example to use when asked that question but it's completely left up to perception if this was her coming out or not. Also, you gave me food for thought on the last parts of that section, and it's definitely true that some Western fans view Eastern countries as if it's still the 1950s or 1940s, and their citizens have no freedom. It's definitely something I'm noticing more and more as I learn about Korean culture, it's not as conservative or regressive as some Westerner view it.

The Haechan thing is sad but lets be honest, it's a problem with the industry in general. All of them are under extreme pressure to look a very specific way and act a specific way or they'll get torn apart by the fans, their companies, etc. That's why when idols say stuff like this that sound so obviously screwed up and don't think twice about it, I'm never gonna be quick to jump on them because the reality is, they get put through that if they want to debut and get into a company to begin with and let's not pretend that fans don't expect them to look perfect. These things that are put on them so harshly, exist because it's what sells sadly. Doesn't make it right, but it's hypocritical to pick out 1 other idol and drag them for something that they're all under constant pressure over.
