as a cg viewer, the tunnels didn't really do much and were mostly just there for the aesthetic rather than actual functionality, not only is their removal good for the server (in terms of lag and allowing for future building) but it also allows cg to have a soft reset and stop coasting like they have been, sure, it was scripted a lil, but a lot of the cities best moments have been.

@@slash219 i think the idea of the tunnels died pretty early on, as rammee got pushed away from the mines and talon. it was supposed to be a secret base for the big grps to operate from aswell as a connection/escape through the mines, while also serving as a raidable place like the casino.
