I started watching and thought... What's he doing?? He's not explaining it, not going through his processes, I can't even see what he's doing!? Then I watched it for a minute, and it all became clear! You solved my problem and exactly what I needed in an instant without all the bullshit!? Thanks man. Great post.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not in the second half of your post, but if you are then great. It wasn't meant to be a tutorial or an explanation, rather just a video that demonstrates how i go about chopping things. If you'd like I could go into more detail and post a new video (since I have some new records to go through anyway).

+Ian Haskell no I was being serious. After watching a few tutorial style videos that was what I was expecting with your vid. But it was refreshing that you didn't talk and just got on with the job in hand. I was looking for ages via KZbin and Google on how to resample from a pad to another pad. All the vids I'd watched so far were on how to make a beat from pads and resample them to another. Which is not what I wanted. I wanted to take my recorded track from one pad and chop it into bits onto the other pads. Your video showed me exactly how to do this instantly, rather than the others, (and without the BS). So thank you I appreciate it. And with your new records please post more vids! Thanks

Awesome man thank you! I'll give you an up close on what I'm doing on the machine itself.

Yo man, sick video! Just had a few questions, thinking of getting one of these soon and i just wanted to know what pitching samples was like? what ive seen its pretty destructive, is there like an mpc style pitch editor? Cheers!
@tennisgenius8 жыл бұрын
Nah not on the 404 unfortunately. For that I use a 202 that I bought from a friend. There's really no good way to pitch samples on the 404. There's the djfx looper that has a pitch function, but you can't pitch it up at all- only down.

What record player is that, so cool and small! I want to know, I want to buy one
@tennisgenius6 жыл бұрын
Look... I would urge you not to. If you're looking for a small, affordable turntable check out the Audio Technica AT-LP60-USB. You'd be much better off in the long run, I promise.

Ian Haskell is that the numark one you have? if so, why so critical?? I was gonna buy but after seeing this it seems not a good choice. cheap player? doesnt run for long?

What kind of turntable is that?
@tennisgenius8 жыл бұрын
+Micah Brown It's a really shitty one, I'll tell you that. It's a Chinese knockoff of the already-cheap Numark PT01. If you want a relatively inexpensive turntable that is much better than either of those (whose motors are so shitty that scratching records causes it to creak and groan) then look into the AT-LP120. That's what I plan on buying relatively soon. It's close in design to the 1200, and for the money it sounds good.

+Ian Haskell That numark turntable is horrid! I Returned mine two weeks ago. Never again......
@tennisgenius8 жыл бұрын
M! Jesus christ it's awful. Think of how I feel with my even-shittier Chinese rebrand version. Granted I did get it four or five years ago when I first started collecting vinyl and also had no money, but I really regret it now. Especially now when I also need a Bass Station II. FML...
@micahbrown39128 жыл бұрын
+Ian Haskell I was thinking about getting a Numark PT-01 actually. I was actually ready to pull the trigger on one because I needed something to take with me on vacation. After I read your comment, I did some further research and found out people had problems with the belts and the cartridges. So, yeah, I guess that's off the table...

Definitely go for the AT-LP120. Best DJ turntable for the money, if my research is correct.
