SP1B - How to reset the MMSI ATIS number on the ICOM IC-M330 VHF Marine

I see that a few people had the same question about the pinout of the adapter cable. After a lot of googling and reading service manuals for other radios I have figured it out. The black cable is connected to the sleeve of the 3.5mm connector. The grey cable is connected to the ring of the 3.5mm connector The tip of the connector and the orange wire on the radio don't need to be connected. Thanks a million for the video. It was a lot of help seeing that it can be done or what connections need to be made

whats the name of the black connectors you have going into the 4way picoblade was they pre made or did you make yourself, i was able to get it to work pushing the cables in the holes, but not ideal

I can't translate the video. Looks like you're connecting to grey and black. Black is -ve line for the external speaker. Shouldn't it be connected to the orange too? Do you connect the third orange cable? What the pinout from the minijack to the connector? Is this an rs232 connection? 485? Uart? TTL? 3v or 5v line? Thanks

Only two - data and minus. Programator cable is usb converting rs232

Hello Lukas, I'm IW2DUG. I bought 2 years ago a boat equipped with a Icom IC-M330. This model doesn't have GPS receiver inside but it can be upgraded with and external GPS module. I'm facing problems to find informations regarding GPS characteristics required by the external GPS. Did you have experience on this issue. Did you know, for istance, what is the baud rate required by the IC-M330 for NMEA0183 data ? Did you know someone that tried this integration and which model of GPS module is suitable ? Many thanks for any futher information.

Unfortunately, I do not have such experience. I think it is worth writing directly to Icom Europe with a question. They should offer technical support in this regard.

I have the same question, I'm cutting the Jack Cables and making my own pin using directly from the cut male connector.. I can see 3 wires, black is confirmed -ve, which color cable should I put to the grey pin?
