Sp1C I know A little German World of tanks Blitz

The SP1C is a tiny little bug of a tank. Its a tier 1 sized tank in a tier 7 battlefield. However it also has the armour profile of a tier 1 tank which is a bit of a worry when you see 100mm 120 mm and 150 mm guns all over the great beyond.
The tanks a tough drive right now. A year after my initial review those who bought shares in the SP1C enterprise have been a little disheartened by recent returns. if however you are a new and aspiring investor and this is a tank you want to drive, then sit down and pay attention because I'm going to run you through the do's don'ts and wont's of this tiny terror.

Tuberculosis_victim I loved the old one. 3 masteries with 2 second reload. First tank I got one in after 2000 games. Even on PC it only has a 3 second reload.

Agreed, didn't need the pen nerf, but worst for me was the extra time between shots. played only 3 times fully maxed before the nerf and now afterwards, played once and done.

Thank you Bushka, you speak for all of us, Scubs!!! The reload nerf was very unnecessary !! I used to love this thing a lot, i have 1 mil XP in this thing so i know how to play this very well. But now, i can't even play it anymore, you can't just play it !!! :( Thanks Bushka, hope wg realised and fix it ( like they "always" do ).

The strangest tidbit about the SP I C is that the shell velocity is really slow, it takes awhile for it to travel, leading long range targets is very hard, even at mid range you can watch the shell fly

Simply unnecessary banned, due to Blitz "rushed nature" it is usually played as a aggressive then "RUUUUUN!!" Tank, now the reload between shells make it more of a prey now.

while going for light lines, i liked Sp1C and kept at it because of it's autoloader gun. that's what made tank special for me. if you can't get the second shot in now, might as well load the single shot gun. idk, haven't touched it since the changes.

Man, that shell delay nerf makes me sad. I remember the good times when you could reverse out and blast two shells into an IS without taking any in return, for just rinsing and repeating the process 10 seconds later.

I love this tank. All you have to do is to roll with lights or mediums (never heavies) destroy half the team and flank the other half. (BTW this only works when it’s the kind of map where you split up like mines.) also never go alone unless your at the back of the entire enemy team. :)

I personally play a run and gun playstyle, where I lock onto a target and stay on the move, And Im actually really accurate while at full speed

Ahoy Bushka; well this isnt quite related to the tank; but what is your opinion regarding the 2nd World War being a bit demilitarised and politicised and there being atleast one German Tankists medal. I'd recommend the Micheal Wittman medal; but I'm sure wargaming are not too keen on an SS soldier's name in the game... but we all know and love German tanks, so why be shy about it and give credit to aces we now ignore. I'm South African so it does get me that theres no Jan Smuts or ANZAC award somewhere hahaha... It'd be great to hear your opinion on the matter, keep on tanking and bringing us the best most thorough gameplay and review videos!

I loved this tank.. then it got nerfed... I don't really mind the pen loss... although it was quite special... but I do mind the 3.5 sec. delay! It kinda lost it burst damage.

And now bp has a perm reload of less than 3.5 sec without having to wait ten secs after every 2 shots. IMO it seems like the sp would be better just using the second gun and not the autoloader.

i agree regarding the pen nerf that it's ok but the reload in a clip is questionable as to why increase it. Now 2nd gun is more viable than the autoloader.

SP1C is still a great little tank - if you know how to play light tanks. Yeah the 3.5 reload sucks but I kept the SP1C and sold the LTTB. The LTTB pen nerf just made it awful. The Sp1C nerf is still playable and still a great fast, small tank

Hey Bushka! You've got to try this thing with the lower 1-shot gun. I've had this for over a year and In my opinion the nerd ruined the auto loader, I was getting my ass kicked. Switched it up and I've had tremendous success! Plus people think you're on a reload and BOOM another shell lol. It seems to have better gun depression too.

My comet gets a shot every 3.2 seconds. This gets a shot after 3.5 then another one after 10....it's now the worst of the meds/ lights. Even the type 62 gets a 200 dmg shot every 4.6 seconds.

'm5 stuart' and and 'good' should not be in the same sentence. That's 400 potential damage. The m5 stuart has terrible pen and by the time you have wasted your time trying to pen a DW 2 your weak armour has been destroyed and your are dead. it is not even that fast for a light tank.

How about now? Is the tank gets nerfed again, particularly on its camo rate? I feel strange, because for the tank that small with 300+ meters view range & said "good camo rate", it gets spotted too early from afar. I can spot much better with 290+ m Leopard or VK 28.01, and not getting counter spotted too easy like SP1C. Is there any changes to its camo rate that I don't know?

I just got the SP1C and lemme say... kinda underpowered... I was against an IS-3 defender, and the SP1C has no way to pen it... even shooting the side had no effect, and that was with heat... lights don't have a point in this game, maps are too small to actually do any useful spotting, why use a light when you have a medium that's an equally good spotter?... rof nerf and damage nerf... and then there's the is-5 which really ruins trying to grind stock tanks at tier 7 and 8... you have absolutely no way of penning the frontal armor and it's difficult to flank with its speed... game is kinda broken

Its fun yea if you dont get greedy with the autoloader. You have to peekaboom with the autoloader instead of waiting of the next shot because they nerfed it. The second singleshot gun on it has more dpm than the autoloader.get the second gun and run tf away from full stock because its not good with stock. Grea gun dep at sides but with singleshot gun or autoloader you still have gun dep at the front (10 degrees). It takes brains and a low profile and rely on the fact that you team isn’t a bunch of muppets.

I'm just starting out in the SP 1C (and boy, it's rubbish when it's stock!) I'm wondering whether it's even worth bothering with the nerfed autoloader at all. I might just stick with the second gun (single-shot 90mm Mecar). At least that way I won't be tempted into waiting for the second shot, and I'll be able to use adrenaline if I need to.

The auto is still the better option IMO, your DPM is a lot worse with the single shot gun.

Looking at the stats in game, the single shot 90mm gun fires 9 rounds per minute. The autoloader fires 8 rounds per minute. So the single shot gun gives me an extra shot, and has higher DPM. Plus I can use adrenaline with it.

Ru is faster and doesn't need any upgrades but engine upgrades, T54 L got lots of turret armor, a 100mm cannon (it's quite impressive how this light has this giant cannon), quite fast, and easy. Both got bad hull armor, RU is pure paper

This tank is absolute garbage now. Typical wargaming nerf, goes from OP to not worth driving. If you must grind this tank, keep in mind it has: Terrible pen, trash dpm, worst in tier armor for lights, worst in tier speed for lights (the tank is even slow for tier 7 medium standards) and all heavies run optics these days so you can be spotted from anywhere and deleted. I would much rather take a VK 28.01 in a tier 8 match then take an SP 1 C in a tier 6 match let alone same or low tier matches. LTTB and AMX are vastly superior light tanks! Sell this tank the moment you research the RU 251 and never look back.

True true. I don't understand why the SP1C is such a down-grade from the Vk 28.01. The 28.01 has almost the same pen, it has better armor, better mobility, it can survive a ram or an he shell from the front. It has better acceleration, better prammo pen, APCR as prammo, and can run adrenaline. Oh did I mention it has BETTER MM than the SP1C? Honestly, I would rather run the VK at tier 8 as I can actually pen the IS-3 using my prammo.

Totally agree. I was one of the lucky few that got to play every high tier light tank pre-nerf, and there were 3 at the time excluding the Type 62 which is still OP haha (T71, LTTB, and the SP I C). It’s really sad seeing how the 3 went from some of the most OP & fun to drive tanks in the game to mediocre vehicles. The IC got hit the hardest with the nerfbat and hasn’t aged decently unlike the other 2. IMO if they nerfed the reload of the auto loader they should give it 3 shells again like the original PC version because 2 shells just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Of course uni's will be ok, they have the brains to go play something else. No uni in their right mind will be driving this competitively. This tank lost its identity with the burst damage and pen nerf. If anything it sees can pen it, it should be able to pen anything it see's in return as the balancing factor.
