Agreed with your assessment of dpm. A combination of other factor such as gun handling, penetration, gun depression and turret armor greatly influences a tanks effective dpm. Just look at the Pershing, lowest dpm on a tier 8 medium, but the combination of high apcr pen, strong turret armor, great gun depression and handling makes it much easier to get the damage out.

when was HEAT ever broken? never felt it but agree that HEAT should not pen space armor, at least not every time.

Maddox Wong spaced armour existed solely to entirely counter HEAT. HEAT has molten copper inside it, and it melts through the armour and dose its AT thing. Spaced armour makes the jet come out early, as the real armour is too far away for the copper to go all the way through the armour.

Custom5 i know how HEAT works. but in some of the case the HEAT still pens, at least according to game mechanics. I never know it was broken to a point where it can pen space armor, at least i never took advantage of that. I just go for the safe way and never used HEAT against Soviet side armors and the frontal hull of the SuperPershing

I don't know about you, but the t110e5 is amazing and was amazing when I started player the centurion 1, and I was very proficient in it at the time. When you play it, it feels like you always come off positive in trades, against heavies and tds you often get two shots off to their one, and against mediums they often bounce. Even though the dpm isn't amazing, (it actually is phenomenal) it shreds through other tanks like no mans business. Now when I started playing the 7/1 I was in love because the top gun shot just like the t110e5's when I got it, with an 8 second reload on both. The tank only got better because of the shot creation and I got the experiance for the 4202 in two days because of how addicting it was. Overall this was what blew the idea of dpm out of the water for me because neither of these tanks are renown for their "ludicrous" dpms, but the fact that they can create so many opportunities to put that damage in makes them great for solo carries and gameplay in general, with some of my best stats being in my cent 7/1. (Sorry I wrote a paragraph)

That Jagpanther 2 game must of hurt, ouch. One of them where you keep kicking yourself. You may of been ok if you just traversed on the spot after killing the IS3? I know the ISU was coming over, but he would of had to get the gun down. Always easy in hindsight though. You still played a blinder mate.

The thing people don't take into account is that alpha actually increases your DPM if you go into a fight with your gun loaded. The FV 215b (183) can roll into a fight, shoot you with AP for nine hundred damage and be able to do it again in twenty odd seconds. For the duration of that engagement, his DPM was effectively seven thousand two hundred DPM, which is higher than anything else in the game will get over that same period. The same applies to medium tank guns with three hundred and fifty alpha, granted to a lesser extent. Obviously, it you just trade shots in a controlled manner you'll also come out on top versus something like a T-54 because you have higher alpha. The point is, a six hundred and fifty health Centurion 7/1 will almost always beat a six hundred and fifty health T-54 if they both go into a fight with their guns reloaded and are out in the open without consumables.

Captain_Skipper people always blame their teams, "I play great but my teams suck and loose the game", the thing is your winrate is a statistic that directly correlates to your damage ratio, k/d ratio, spots per game and survival %. Yes it can be the teams fault you have a bad win rate for 25 games or 50 games but over time if your playing well your win rate will catch up, it's just all statistics and those statistics need a large sample size to be true.

Bushka, how do I deal with horrible teams? I'm constantly put up with dummies who play for themselves and lose like half of their health to get like 1 shot of, mostly leave me or someone else in the team alone in the middle of the whole enemy team which is just breaking the experience for decent players... I had a winrate of 57% but now it's only 54% because of horrible teams... I also got so close to getting the Helsing, but those horrible teams wouldn't allow me to win and even survive the battle to at least complete the mission... So I don't even know anymore

I had a win ratio of 43% and it's 51% now in nearly two months. Platoon when you can. I'm no pro but if you push on the front line in a TD and snipe in a med, your win rate is going down. Trust your team, help them and platoon whenever you can.

Ibrahim Mamdouh you need all of the tokens of light and all of the tokens of dark to get 1 tank. Just having the tokens of Light only makes them cheaper to buy with gold. To spend your tokens you click on each stage of the event and click purchase.

I have seen some unofficial stats for the t54e1 (tier 9 American auto loading med) and has only a dpm of 2k. however it puts that damage out in 1k bursts. Really a low dpm on it will not matter becuase it will punish enemies then wait to reload then pop out and repeat.

Final step is to pray to whatever gods you believe in that Wargaming notices you and wants you to partner with them.

I got the drac today. Buska I think you ripped on its gun handling a little to much in the stream. I have had no problems with it. The worst thing about the drac is you can't go full speed with it. 30 seconds into the game and you are practically to the middle of a map, don't pay attention and your dead.

Adjust the speed as the match progresses. In the beginning support your team (stay back, drive slow) as enemies die off you gradually become more aggressive to hunt down the stragglers. Either that or spot enemies for the team in the beginning and make a quick escape (it's really good at that). With solid support and smart play you can play aggressive throughout the entire match.
