I love Rita so,so much! She has a special place in my heart. This may be helpful. Rita reminds me of a child with A.D.H.D. .. She doesn't know what to do with all her energy . Children with ADHD act up badly in new situations due to anxiety they get. Only it's not because they are trying to be bad. They act that way because there are very few who understand them. Whatever way they are Rita and children who have ADHD hold a special treasure that only certain persons get to see if they take the time to see it.

@@glendastone829 ... I feel that Rita is doing so much better. She has calmed down so much. And I haven't seen her chasing the donkeys. I know we don't get to see everything but I really think she's doing better. And she's just behaving like a young untrained horse. I also feel that she can tell the difference by the way they treat her. The way their voices light up when they see Storm and Voodoo and Buc-ee's but they respond to her with fear. You can especially hear it in Jami's voice and I know she has good reason to be fearful... But Rita can tell the difference and wonders why. I think that's why she tries so hard to be close to them...

✅Could have been longer, but then the horse/donkey videos are interesting to me. Did Dan have his feet checked too? Happy to see him come inside the barn. Wonder if he was trapped for a while during Harvey and that was the source of his PTSD. Elijah had no fear of the donkeys. I was impressed with that. Rita is just a undisciplined horse and will be that way until she gets some training done. Shes a pretty horse though but Storm is always going to be my favorite, I just love her demeanor , her markings etc. Reminds me of Dixie so much.

Rita has so much energy like all teenagers and has to release it the only way she knows how to, but she is truly a beautiful horse. Hormones are sometimes a real problem with horses because they can only do so much to try to control them when in the midst of all fixed males and for Rita it seems to be this wild running behavior which settles her down.

Good morning Jami. What a spa day! Rita is a teen trying out different idenities. I'm pretty sure she's settled on fiery, gorgeous Latina celebrity. So she's working on her presentation. Imagine she's a making her entrance as a guest on a famous late night talk show. First, she has to allow everyone to get a chance to soak in her beauty. Spinning around allow the audience to soak in her beauty. She imagines herself as a Sophia Vigara. Then for the interview, she wants to take it up a notch. . Unfortunately, she chose to emulate Charo. Charo was from Spain. She was beautiful, a whirlwind, full of energy, couldn't keep stiil, often jumping up with her signature line.."cuchi, curchi cuchi " and very flirtatious. 😮💃🏼🤸🏼‍♀️ Prayers for Voodoo and Ernie. 🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏🏻

I think Donkey Dan misses kids! At the Sanctuary, there were so many kids running around playing and petting him. Now he just has the occasional neighbor kid and Mrs Pat to love on him. Plus, all the laughing could have made him curious to come see what everyone was doing.

Good morning Jami. All the horses and donkeys had a spa day, deworming, and the boys were checked thoroughly, makes for a good day. Elijah sure has grown lot in the 2 years, talking more clearly, and loves his horses too. He is such a cutie. Rita well she can be a hand full sometimes and we all know that but her not being spicy once in a while makes you wonder if something is really wrong. Just happy she doesn't kick out as much as she used to. Thanks for sharing. HAGD.

I have to bring you a message from a farrier. He has made a hoof cream with copper in it, and that is preventing all kinds of rot in yhe hooves, molds and such. I don't know if there's a hoof cream like that where you live, because this farrier works in Yorkshire, England. He made this wax/cream himself and sells it at his web shop I think. His name is Samuel Wolfenden and he has a page here on KZbin called swfarrier. He is a very good smith and farrier, and he loves horses. They love him back with passion! 😂😂😂 I enjoy his page enormously! So young, and knows so much! Just a tip! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Jami, I thought of this because of Elijah's shirt. If you talked to Chief Chris you may be able to get him to coordinate a Pumpkin Feast for the animals at all three properties. Instead of throwing pumpkins away after Halloween/Thanksgiving people can drop them off at the fire station where you can pick them up. He can advertise on the department's social media and FB and put up a sign at city hall, community bulletin boards, etc. It would be wonderful to treat everyone a nice big chunk of pumpkin for the holidays. :) I can already picture Trudy rolling in pumpkin guts. Lol Just a thought
