Thank you for this fantastic video and also for your other previous videos. I’ve been watching your videos for the past few months and I’ve learned lots of things from your videos in this channel, especially the middle games ideas like pawn breakthroughs, majority and minority pawn structures and especially spotting weaknesses and key squares. I watched them in preparation for a tournament I just played in. It was a group/team tournament where our team used your videos to learn and practise. We actually ended up getting second place. We were only 1 point behind first and that is quite frustrating since my teammates blundered their major pieces against the winning team when we played them. Although, it was individually my best tournament as it was the first time I ever won all my games in a tournament. For that, I would like to thank you for your amazing videos and hope you gain many subscribers in the future.

"Studying Chess made easy" by Andrew Soltis. This book contains lots of instructive message with minimum analysis. In this book author teach: 1. What is the best method of training? 2. How prepare an opening repertoire? 3. Middle game plans 4. How to study the GMs games 5. Methods of visualisation. For example, He ask us to observe how the GM get his pieces into good position, tactical shots, changes in pawn structure, captures. We should take a pause whenever we see changes in pawn structure and captures and try to find a reason for that. Overall it's a good guidance book for beginners. Even intermediate players can take away few lessons.

There is a game between capablanca vs karel treble, that's a very good game to show the example of the space advantage in chess, it's very instructive game. Capablanca had control over the 5 ranks of the board and then he closed down the position completely on the queen side and the kingside without a single breakthrough for is opponent and then he placed his pieces to the perfect squares and cramped his opponent completely and he was able to influence the position with rook on the 7th rank and applied full pressure to the weakness in his opponents camp and to get two passed pawns and managed to get a easy winning position. You can search the game in chess channel called chessnetwork, the title is capablanca and the space invaders. That's a very good game to see.

After Ne6 Lasker probably would've played Rd8 attacking the d6 pawn so Capablanca tried defending it preemptively I guess. Also if you take the night on e6 white gets a past pawn which can be defended via Ne2 and then Nf4/Nd4. Also when there are pawns on both sides of the board bishops become more valuable than knights, and although the knight on e6 looks better than the bishop on b7 right now, black can play c5 and attack the e4 pawn making the b7 bishop a monster.

In the Lasker v Capablanca game, once the knight moves to the outpost on e6, why can't black play Bc8 threatening Bc8xNe6 creating doubled isolated pawns, then it seems there is no way for white to stop the e pawn falling to a rook on the e file.
