Thanks for the great videos! @06:34, the g2-pawn is not any more threatened than if the Bishop were on e2 (if White is going to capture on b5 anyway). Perhaps the reason one does not play Be2 @06:23 is because Black will capture it with the ...d4-Knight. At my level, only 13% of players play 7.Bf1 (1700 on lichess).

This is not the Tartakower variation that comes from the classical variation

I think it's worth studying the QGD Tartakower if you want to learn the QID and vice versa. I played the Tartakower for a long time before seriously learning the QID, and the experience I had really helped me understand the d5 variations. Gaining some knowledge of the Semi-Tarrasch is a good idea too for dealing with White's broad centre set-ups. Great video, Stepan.

Yayyy! I did find e5...it seemed natural to me as it closes influence of blacks bishop and now his night on c5 looks stupid and knight on e8 is burried whole I have e4 square for my knight....

17... c5! was already possible without further preparation 27... Nxf3!! not easy to spot at all; no regret. 32... Nh6 had to be seen and played, instead. Easy positional principle: why did you end up to solve your opponent's problem of having a bad bishop? 66... g5! was important for keeping the h-file closed, even without calculating any other move ahead.

There is a line and kind of a trap for black to use I would like to mention: 1) e4 - c5, 2) Nf3 - e6, 3) d4 - cxd4, 4) Nxd4 - Nf6, 5) Nc3 - Nc6, 6) Bg5 - Bb4, 7) Nxc6 - bxc6 8) e5 - Qa5 and white's position is literally terrible after exf6 and Qxg5 or any other moves, as an 1700-1800 otb player, I won at least 2 matches after this position of 8) ... Qa5 against similar rating players in otb classical tournaments. White's Bg5 feels too natural becausr Naidorf habits but it is pretty bad

I would love to see you play a carefree tournament game where in your mind you don't care for that game win or lose and play instinctually and see what happens. I think you're much better than your rating based on many of these analyses

Often, the anatomy of a Draw is the inability of either player to win. Time Pressure can do that to a winning position.

Dude, I know that this comment is gonna bring a lot of hate from your fans, but your analysis of that rook endgame is dreadful! The evaluations are correct ( because engine told you so), but your explanation of ideas is completely off, IMHO
