I like the physics of the space battles with the fighters not really behaving like planes in an atmosphere.
@justforever966 жыл бұрын
Are you being sarcastic? They flew exactly like planes, just like usual. Way too slow - in space an object never stops accelerating as long as the engine is turned on - always banking and rolling for turns, and turning far too sharply, just like a fighter jet in atmosphere pulling a 6G turn. In space, you have nothing by inertia and thrusters to overcome it. A fighter would never turn that way. And they would have figured out how to put a damn bubble canopy on so the pilot can actually see behind! We figured that out several times by the 1960s. The on;y times they didn;t fly just like planes were totally unrealistic in a different way.
@hellothere_12576 жыл бұрын
How do you know the fighters don't just keep constantly accelerating while their engines are on? There are never enought reference points to tell. The whole combat is obviously not realistic, given that space fighters exist at all, but this is definetly one of the better renditions of space fighters I've seen so far.

Very impressive. I've never seen the Anime but I think I would like this movie. I always prefer seeing films in their original language. Reading the subs is less distracting than the dubbing of almost every non English language movie I've ever seen. This one looks like they put some real effort into the design. How do they account for converting 18" cannon to energy weapons?

I think its a modular cannon from the anime, the 460mm cannons can switch between a photon energy based weapon to a kinetic shell based weapon that fires both AP, HE and air burst shells Well thats from the anime, i think they didn't put that function here in the adaptation
