Closing spaces, particularly large ones such as a molar gap, requires meticulous planning and execution.
The ideal time to close a space is immediately following the extraction of the adjacent tooth, and the mechanics must be judiciously managed to balance the force, the moment of force, and the moment of the couple effectively.
We achieve this quite well with auxiliary mechanics as demonstrated in this video.
