Well the escape pod had launched and was a separate grid but it's thrusters had not fired. If i hadn't been in such a hurry i would have stuck a mag plate onto it but..... i had to leave !

Been watching your series and since I just started playing Space Engineers, I will not be making any constructive comments. But I have been learning and getting ideas on things that I did not know were possible. I will say that I am glad you added more guns to your ship for protection.

Thank you Mr Jeffro and welcome. All comments are welcome, if you have questions i'm happy to try to answer them :D I have to say guns is not my problem, my problem is a severe lack of magnesium hence no ammo for said guns !

Also, regarding the stairs - I think you're falling into the symmetry trap that so many fall into. It makes them take up far too much room and makes it feel clunky. I'd go with either one entrance or have the catwalks meet up and end end in a single stair

I think there will be plenty of fun launches at 100m/s despite my cautious approach, my worry is that they get shot and explode long before they even fire a shot !

Have you considered using an inset conveyer junction vent in the floor and then replace the blocks with 1x2 glass in the newly sealed bridge area? right now you can't see ahead of you when seated?

I keep forgetting about those ! yup you're right, although i can't see ahead anyway because my glass doesn't reach the floor !

Corner lights work well too for joining stairs sections, especially if you're wanting/needing light in the area. How about stairs coming down towards the centerline directly out of the outer airlock doors, then where they meet in the middle, finish the way down to the floor sorta like you have it now? This layout wouldn't interfere with the ships docking positions, at least not as much as the stairs/catwalks do currently. The solar array hinges, are they locked? If not, do they stop banging if you locked them? If that stops the banging, could you set them up to lock (opened or closed) until you want them to move? What sort of goodies did you lose out on by the escape capsule not making the jump with you? Instead of the basic armor blocks for the bridge roof, you could replace some of them with windows for a skylight look. If you've come up with an official name for the main ship, you should finally put the name on the sides of the ship. You could even use one of the LCD panels on the rear of the ship like a bumper sticker, with text like "I brake for Maydays" or "I jump for Reavers".

Yes stair the way you describe would leave more room for the ships, i was leaving the room towards the front as i'm not sure what i'm doing about those hydrogen tanks. I think i did try locking the hinges but not all at once - thanks i'll try that. I did go back and check the capsule (Alt-F10 method) and surprisingly there were only empty bottles and low grade tools there, other than steel and a few basics nothing to get excited about. Errr the roof, yes, well.... i kinda built something but sure a viewing window would be cool 😀 Ship name, not come up with one yet..... thinking however i love the bumper sticker idea 👍
