Thanks to you, over 2 evenings, this xmas holiday, I created 1 completed tread like yours but with a little change for my laziness. :) Just in case anyone is curious, just ONE complete tread/track with wheels, all assembled (not left and right tracks like his example) following this example is about 7300 PCU. That's with mine NOT using the rotor heads down the center to look like 'teeth. LOL. That means, just a simple example like in the end of the video (cockpit, battery and maybe tank driving script) is well over 15000~ PCU. Fun for single player or maybe LAN gaming, but until KEEN comes out with 'proper' custom buildable tank tracks, I guess we have to rely on crazy creative compromises! My 7 year old son and I also enjoyed your other tank track example videos. Keep it up!

Idea for making it easier to build in survival would be to use a rotor/piston and rotate the track frame with the track attached at one point, basically allow the track to wrap around the frame. It could save from the frustration using a separate ship to align the track because the gravity around should be able to do that work for you. Merge blocks may be needed to anchor the track in some places during the flipping process but I think it could work well!

I hope I am not to late for an answer, but what are the binds he uses in the end to make it move. My big problem is that on either track, the rotors don't all spin in the same direction, and was wondering if there was an easier way around it. I have it set up so that the velocity is maxed out, some in positive directions and some in negative directions depending on which way they need to turn. And I control the speed by raising or lowering the torque on each track.
