The one thing that I consider actually op about B&R is that it entirely negates interior defences if you let it: grinds weapons, warheads, program blocks etc so you never need to face them

Incidentally... made my first several million in economy by making a stone mining rig to mass produce motors. It's kind of absurd how easy it is to get crazy rich to buy whatever else you want.

From what I've seen they do, every day maybe? Between whatever they buy normally and missions like "bring X motors and receive Y credits" (literally got a 2 mil mission for motors...) you can get as much money is you like pretty easily with a rather rudimentary setup. I think they'll have to do something about how profitable it is to sell things thst can be made in bulk from the cheapest and most plentiful substance in the game...

I just started using B&R in my games it makes a some big changes debating making a battleship that deploys 4-6 of the B&R systems to steal the ship in seconds

I think build and repair should be standard for playthroughs. Too much time is spent just building/ welding. One battle can wipe out hours of work. B&R incentivizes risk. TBH B&R (or some form of it) should be vanilla.

If you want to balance build and repair vs nanite factory, you can hard limit yourself to 2-4 build and repair units total, and edit the config for the build and repair mod to be 25% faster at welding and grinding. That way you've got the BaR and convenience but if you want industrial scale stuff you need to get the materials for a factory and to power it.

I like the salvage mod your using, the efficiency of everything in space engineers kinda ruins the game for me at times, so glad to see this. Would have been nice if you had kept scarce resources mod on considering that you can now buy resources and components.

Yay for a new season!! I’ve found that you can add modular encounters to your save after the vanilla game is loaded up, and then you don’t have the problem of stations not spawning in properly and leaving empty safe zone bubbles as often. It still happens, but it’s not very common. I hope you will add some of the really aggressive modular encounters mods because that would be a challenge and exciting to watch!

I always accept ALL acquisition contracts since there's no time limit. So one day, you have the stuff they need. You could bring it to the base to turn in. And, GPS. I always make all ore GPS colors orange so make it easier notice between base, ore, etc etc

I use nanobots on build only for balance as welding things is tedious. I find it cathartic to shoot down an enemy then manually grind their ship into parts for transport to a grinder pit.

I think the economy update is cool... But for me as far as components and stuff.. I would rather keep the ore to make stuff. Rather than flying around to find who sells them. But really like the shipyards where they sell the ships... Since i suck at designing ships. My ships all look like flying bricks...lol functional.. but bricks. But it adds a bit of trading and stuff which is cool. I imagine that later on Keen will enhance the economy.

Can challenge yourself by not using blueprints or printers and buying ships from stations. Also..YES you can ram trade stations to stop with no damage, lose the immersion but works just fine just becareful not to bounce off the stations and get stuck in the ground then you can't move and you cant drill out either

The other color isnt a build color, but an ignore color, for if you want to have half-built blocks on a ship for decoration.

How do I do start a survival game on the moon? I cannot find a "moon start" on the new game options.

Go to custom game, and select star system on the left. Then when you made all your settings on the right side, load. In the game you are able to choose: drop pod moon or something similar. With alt+f10 you can open an admin menue. There is an option for creative mode. Spawn in what you want to start with and turn creative off. Or make it creative in the game settings and change it later instead of loading the save, you click edit. Then you can edit the settings and then load the game.

depends on what you are doing, and how many BaR systems you have, BaR basically go through things in order, if you need something complete faster, welder blocks have uses. still for speeding up early game, yeah it makes sense

JackRPG did a video over a modular ship attachment system called the Rig-Bee you could do something like that for your starter ship. Put a merge block behind the cockpit and swap the attachment depending on what you need to do.

Build and repair completely ruins Survival mode, it is not survival mode with that mod on (or the nanite one) it is slow creative mode. The game is supposed to be about engineering, so engineer a way to build things faster. Build and repair mod is just cheating yourself out of actually playing the game.

It just makes things faster. Not all of us have time for welding or grinding every single block in our builds. Personally I take hours just designing a ship and another hour building it. It just saves time.

A single Bob is not even faster than the basic tool set ... for having some sense to quicken up grinding/welding you need at 4-6 of it at least .... I know it is damn cheap but if you like to play mule or building conveyors and welders just go on and don't use it And if you set up as Kana you do not need to worry about grinding hostiles down
