Welcome to the thirty second episode of this semi-hardcore survival series, I start where I left off in the last episode and get the cargo room completed, do a mining trip and then build a Fighter so we can go exploring some more SPRT Wrecks.

I'm pretty sure the large grid welders will reach 2 large blocks deep. So if you fly your ship infront of the welders you should be good. It should weld everything up you might have to move it around a bit but it should work. Also a few episodes back you were wanting to put a hologram table in the square of the catwalks in the hallway. I think if you go under the square and put in a rail less catwalk upside-down then go back up to the top you should be able to build your hologram table in the middle. Hope that will work for you. I love the content! You really know how to make stuff look really good!

51:43 A quick tip: Use CTRL+Z to undo cockpit deletion. Something to consider next time.

In my opinion you should try and make some sort of Sci fi Fighter like off stars wars or something then you can integrate your own design style into them

Good to see you back! I hope everything's alright. Like you, I'm good at building bases and large grid ships, but I suck at small grid. I can't even build a simple miner. My mind wants every ship to be multi-purpose. I can't keep it simple, no matter how hard I try. I always think a miner could get attacked, so it has to have defensive capabilities, then I think it might need to be interplanetary so I don't have to build different versions for different situations. It ends up being this bulky and heavy thing that can't really be used as a miner anymore. I've considered just strapping drills to my main large grid mobile base and using it for everything. Lol.

I am The oposite I say I need a bigger ship or think about a large form and in The end I end UP with a simplified ship and smaller

As usual: life first, channel later. Don't forget about all the new caps and hatches you can use to cover up unused conveyor ports. ----- Looking at you flying the miner in and out of the hangar, it occurs to me that some kind of position markers around the entrance. I'm thinking something like a couple of rows of neon tubes, or maybe just some SciFi texture blocks, the ones with the glowing lines. That should help you avoid bumping into the walls, make it easier to see the distance. It doesn't have to be very prominent, just enough to see at close range. I would put something like that in right now, even if it isn't going to be the final design, just to make using the hangar a bit easier. ----- I really like the design of the fighter. It's definitely made along the same lines as your larger ships, but in a smaller scale, and it looks great. Some general thoughts about fighters: They obviously need a lot of static, forward facing firepower. They need something against other small craft, and I would go with gatling guns. Those shoot faster than anything else, and the bullets travel faster than e.g. the autocannon shells. They also need some kind of heavier firepower with longer range. That could be missiles, or assault cannons. If you are able to fit the infrastructure for reloadable rocket launchers, that's a good option, but if not I would go with the cannon. One or two _should_ be enough. I would also try to fit at least one gatling _turret_ on the ship, set to target missiles and small grid weapons. That will help you keep some pressure on enemies even when they're not in front of you. Also, I personally like to add features for the look, even if they are less practical, so I would probably put some kind of landing gear on the thing. From a practical point of view, a few magnetic plates could be useful if you need to lock the ship down on a surface somewhere.

Well I see your inventory and wander if u considered using isys autocrafting and inventory management ? In my opinion it would help u. Hope I helped a bit

I second this. ISY or some other Auto crafting script is great time saver. Combine with displays you can have good SA on your base inventory status

Fighters are very hard to work out a balance between Weapons and thrusters. I feel for you too mate My last 24 months have been very trying and yes I have sortout help Most of my problems are PTSD related
