Name the fuel center the "Re-Caffeination Station" Can you put landing gear on the Sandstorm? Then one episode put out all the fires. Another rebuild the bridge area. Then the internal hangers/storage. Then an armament video. An engineering/power video. Finally creature comforts. Add some heavy belly turrets for ground assault/base demolition :)

I found the platinum and gold before I even found cobalt, so the first thing I was able to make once I had upgraded assemblers and refineries was the fully upgraded tools. I'm so spoiled. I never said anything in chat because I was afraid I'd spoil your play through. Great episode Andrew!

Props for having the patience to go voxel hunting the way you did, I've been in that situation myself and I think I left some of my sanity in the hole I was digging. Switching to voxel hands in the end was a bit of a surprise though, I hadn't thought of that, my eventual trip into creative mode saw me do a copy/paste and delete the original.

Voxel hand is a very helpful tool! I didnt want to use it but with Space Engineers, floating pixel voxels can be really tough to find.

1:40 some pulsing "landing strip" strobing lights would really set off the hangar. (~_^)-b Also, some huge sweeping spotlights to make it seem more 'deep spacey' and 'mysterious'. It gives 'gravity' to emphasize the massive scale of the Sandstorm.

Call if "The Carafe" [like a pitcher you see at hotels, banks, some restaurants and catered events]. Its a small, but dedicated means of serving [usually coffee, not hydrogen] where one does not want a much more elaborate infrastructure.

29:00 You cut off a single block that was then a new grid, and it was never converted to a ship, therefore, it is a station and is holding you down. Without scanning ahead in the video, my guess is that you either find it before lifting off, or you slide around enough to wiggle out from beneath it. U could turn the Sandstorm as a fighter ship and take down some of the Paralax ship or U could convert the Sandstorm into a frigates ship to space, considering it is a huge ship and already has a mining ship in it, u could try to convert the Sandstorm into a frigates by adding more cargo containers so when u do go into space for mining or station building u have the 'ol trusty Sandstorm hauling material and resources for u And it'll be fun when u finally go to that blue planet you're using the Sandstorm as well, like it take u to the icy moon now it'll also take u to that giant planet

Hi Andrew, I was wondering if you noticed that the industrial hydrogen thrusters using 8x more hydrogen then the original hydrogen thrusters? I am finding that the hydrogen goes down by 0.1 on four large original hydrogen thrusters (full thrust) and the hydrogen goes down by 0.8 on four large industrial hydrogen thrusters on (full thrust)

What if, with ai blocks, the sandstorm flies up when threats are detected, using its AI drones as decoys and weapons to help defend the base. When the threat is gone it lands back in the hanger. Would add a different vector for defence.

You could put the merge block for the ship on piston so you ca attach it higher and adjust the ship hight withou fear of coliding with hangar.

With the mod enabled on your world, you just hold ctrl when aiming at a block and the build vision menu appears. Then use the mouse scroll wheel and scroll click to select options in that menu
