I enjoy the game, and I play it with my sister and nephew who aren't big gamers, so the simplicity is a bonus. As for the abilities, I agree that some of them are a little overpowered, so we play that all players construct from a single deck of cards in a round robin fashion. It's more fair, and ensures more variety between players since no two freaks can be identical.

I really like the art. Bryan Drake did a very positive review of this game. I am not sure what to think at this point.

I have to agree the game looks like it was made 10-15 years ago with the color and art work. Game seems to expensive for what it is being such a simple game.

I agree. I know it's not the same theme and gameplay, but I'd rather play Aristeia (coming in 2018 from Corvus Belli). It has a similar feel to this one, using grid movement and scoring points, but the art is gorgeous and the minis are also amazing. And it has dice. You never go wrong with dice rolling. :) Also, the resulting characters here are just too weird for my taste, even for "freaks".

The moment I saw that many components falling from the box I said "Nope, not for me.", and the rest of the review just sealed my decision. It is too bad since the theme is fun.

Looks ok, but doesn't push my want to own button. With an ever increasing number of games coming out every year, it's hard to just be ok...

I played a round last week. The art is boring, outdated. As I was the last player of 4 I never could keep up with the other players. I give the game my seal of "meh!"
