Arming your crew - isn't it Weapons skill for handguns and Gunnery skill for big ship lasers?

Kenshi is a great comparison. When I played Kenshi I kept dying without realizing how to even start for the longest time and this is the same way.

I'm looking for a vid for rank beginners. I kind of like the idea of the basic platform game. This mining colony thing you got going on just seems so overwhelming.

how do you do a hyper jump?? ship jumped then nothing??

I am on my second run. First one i died shortly after my first jump when i boarded a derelict. But I learned quickly from my mistakes. My second run is much deeper, my ship is more compact, had a better plan, got a better starting crew, etc. But now i think im screwed and have to restart. I am out of steel plates, which apparently my hull stabilizer has been eating up since my game started (hull stabilizer was one of the very first goals they make you build - if i knew it ate up a limited resource that i cant even get from salvaging, i would have waited). Is there anything i can do to get steel plates or do i need to quit?? I'm so disappointed with this feature, it feels game breaking to me. if you need steel plates continuously for your ship, they should have made it something you can salvage. I can't make a furnace or whatever yet, because research is SOOOO slow. This game could be so good if they changed the hull stabilizer and significantly sped up research

I saw the game got another update and I was thinking of doing a second run myself. They've added a lot of new content to the game since I made this.

Is it possible to strip the mining station before you leave it? Not just take your materials from storage, but break things down like on a derelict ship?

Not yet, I had thought about that too but there were no options to strip out the mining platform. That would be such a huge advantage if one could move that equipment onto your ship and scrap the bases structure.

@@GamerGuide you need to jump out of the system one time and then get back, When u get beck you have the option to make it yours or strip it
