This is like, one of the most addicting arcade games I've played in a LONG time. :P

I HIGHLY advise stopping play as soon as you have the high score needed for the 500 - especially when this stops you from making the high score list. The lower the average score, the longer it will stay in jackpot ready mode.

My local Mr. Gatti's pizza arcade just got this game in. The bonus setting is on 45,000. My best is 24,825 though. It's absolutely addicting!

Someone at the Arcade I go to has all high scores set to over 60k, for ever ruining it for me, as now the default high score resets to 50k. Rip trying to get a switch

Im an Australian and we have one of these in my local arcade ive been playing it two player. Do you think it's better to go single player to get those big scores. First time i played it i picked up 31555 points. I scored second place then went back like a week later and id been pushed to fifth. I played it a few times with my fiance as player 2 and picked up 6th place and 7th on the scoreboard. Just cant seem to take out those higher positions. Still getting between 290-309 tickets a play so im not complaining But im obsessed with getting that coveted first place

my dad and i play this game and were pretty good saving those bombs, powerups, and getting those bonuses. and Wolfman12395 the biggest score on space invaders yet is 53455 player 2 with my dad, and by myself, is 50925!

Great gameplay! My highscore is only 47.5k, but from watching your runs I think I can see some mistakes that have been preventing me from scoring higher (For example, I make an effort to destroy the UFOs right as they spawn in the beginning, but slack off towards the end to preserve my shields. From watching your gameplay however, I think it'd be more worthwhile for me to go for them immediately regardless of my score). One thing though, it's generally courteous to give other players a chance to play inbetween games, but I'd understand if there weren't very many players at your location.

Update: Went to my local arcade and got 26 consecutive jackpots (stopping right after so the score wouldn't shoot up), and on my only attempt for a highscore I got 50.3k!

Biggest mistake I see every single person make is not hitting the Bombs. They either wait to long or never hit them at all.

Really? I find that most players hit them immediately as they spawn, potentially compromising several thousands of points

Mason in this video there was a perfect time for the player to hit them and he didn't till later.

If you're going for score, it's best to save the bombs until you absolutely have to use them. Occasionally a player can push their luck too far, but that's circumstantial and pretty rare at this level of play.

I'm 1 win 1 loss on this version....I don't think I can streak it 7 times in a row however. I usually end up with 23-24K. That wave with the invaders that move in quarter-columns will utterly destroy you if you can't take them out FAST. And they seem to pop in early with this version (I streaked this game 25x in a row when the score was 18k and the ticket bonus was 100) So yeah I'm kind of between this games 'low' and 'high' setting. To @Conversus W.Vans...don't even consider this game if the score if the bonus is at 45k, unless you don't care about getting the bonus at all. It IS absolutely impressive though. Definitely worth at least 1 play.

When I went to Dave and busters Woburn the score was always 25k or 27k so I ended up with 18,000 Tickets :D and I got a guitar

Always use the special packs if you see them. Im pretty good, but 20+ tix everytime i play isnt enough to beat CJ Barrymores high score. Especially with the HAND MOVED GUNS

20 tickets is nothing. My strat that works to get 30k Everytime is saving the bombs. The items will always activate all the bombs on screen, the missiles are okay.

This is a lot nicer than at my arcade. The bonus is 750 tickets and needs like 30k usually, jumping to 55k after a win. It also counts really slowly, so getting a bonus takes several minutes.

That's probably because the machine puts the tickets on his cards instead of dispensing them, it's normally faster that way
