(:54) First, Bryan Lynn has a report about the European Space Agency. ESA officials are reportedly in talks with America’s SpaceX to sign a deal to limit space junk. Reuters reports that the aim to get SpaceX to join an existing international agreement. It aims to prevent new debris from entering Earth’s orbit by 2030. (6:33) Next, John Russell has a report on an ancient city “discovered” in Mexico. Researchers in Mexico have discovered a large, lost Mayan city, called Valeriana. It was discovered by chance thanks to Lidar, or Light Detection and Ranging. It is a technology that uses lasers to map the Earth’s surface. The researchers said they identified more than 6000 structures.
(10:20) After that, Jill Robbins and Jim Tedder present Everyday Grammar. This week, Jill looks at those little questions English speakers put at the end of a sentence. They can be positive or negative. They are known as tag questions.
