Star Trek? Early exploration of space. Dune? Happened shortly after Iron Men rebellion. Aliens? First encounter with genestealers.

Here are some things I picked on from the team. 2:13 This might have been played for a joke yet the captain was able to hear him from that far or just got lucky. 8:32 Hatemonger able to smell the alien before anyone else just goes to show how much he hates aliens. 12:23 Well the captain is sat in his ways he does care for his brothers in taking braces tool while he lived and gave it back after he pass cuz he had no attentions of working with her. 14:40 He even lets Chestnut make the call since he was responsible for them. 19:05 Hatemongers giving him chance to weild the mace goes to show some respect to him. 19:50 The Captain trying to keep the wick end by giving credit to hatemonger even having chestnut's back by giving it up. 23:22 That was a child there's also a hint of the lines between the bugs and the Quagultors with the leader passing by some tiny ones without looking hinting at his hive mind. 30:23 Despite him constantly screwing up Hatemonger is still trying to help Chestnut out.

The way the psycho warriors run and carry their weapons as well as their large, round, domed helmets is also extremely reminiscent of terran marines in starcraft, something else directly inspired by Warhammer 40k but is legally distinct enough that Games Workshop wouldn't be able sue effectively. Also, the psycho warriors aren't so much meatheads as they are immature boys that have been roided up and have the juvenile mind to match. They do act in extremely childish ways often.
