As a max level, Assualt. Do not listen to this. Perfect parrying is a great way to survive as Assault. DO NOT USE A BLOCK WEAPON!! It is ass!!! You can perfect parry even non blue attacks (not red attacks) basic enemy attacks are parryable! You parry a basic attack then smash R2 for your gun strike, then hit with a fast attack then a heavy (thunder hammer) follow up with a second one from the thunder hammer perk and usually execute right after.

This is just dead wrong. Assaults rely on jump pack dodges to trigger their perks. The final perk for max assault lets you keep your jump pack charge if you dodge with the dash. Which stacks with other perks in the assault perk tree such as the 2nd to last one which grants a 25% damage increase for 5 seconds when using a jump pack dodge. What it boils down to is that Assaults (at max level) dodge to trigger their perks while Bulwarks perfect parry to trigger theirs. Grab the perk that restores an armor segment when gun striking Majoris, Extremis, & bosses and you will be fine. Also worth picking up is the perk that does 50% more gun strike damage. Ignore this guy.

One thing that should be said not a lot of guys seem to mention is that during melee and gun strikes you still can get beat up, but perfect parries generally stop all melee damage to you between s and stuns. It also kills the chaff instantly in front of you, and can be done in rapid succession. If you get swamped by a horde, find a place with cover from ranged attacks, stand there and perfect parry the chaff melee back to back without gun striking and turn into a Astartes-brand lawnmower. If done well you turn a hopeless swarm into an armor replenish. Slow down, keep your hands off the gun strike button, let the armor come back and the swarm numbers die down to manageable amount, then go back to slaying.

And if you're looking for quicker easier to digest videos Weshammer is great and, if you don't get easily offended, Majorkill is a good one to look at. Majorkill is fairly controversial but I think his videos are quick and succinct and they've gotten a lot better.

As someone who only recently started nerding-out over 40k, I agree to some extent. The heraldry is a bit lacking, especially for some of the more niche chapters (space wolves lol) so there's definitely room for improvement. The game is still new though, so I'm sure things will get more polish as time goes on. Really looking forward to maybe a color wheel and decal designer for customization, but even if they never add them the game is still phenomenal. It's just little things, like why can't I have access to more roman numerals for squad designation? Some of the space marines on the battle barge have them, so they're already in the game but the players don't have access to customize with them for some reason. Maybe they're trying to avoid breaking continuity too much because even after you customize, you're still playing as an Ultramarine and just cosplaying as another chapter. My ultimate wish would be to have the freedom to make a homebrew chapter with unique heraldry and chapter symbols in the game. TLDR: I just want more freedom with customization tbh.

I just wish the performance and matchmaking was better. Seems very unstable with there servers always getting lag and disconnected on ps5 I keep crossplay off because it's worse for me. So I really hope they are working on there server's as a top priority

@@pacman5800 Agreed. The game plays well and is stable, but those loading to times for matches, and constantly getting disconnected into an infinite loading screen after a match is annoying. Hopefully they get on this and resolve it fast before it becomes an issue.

I have 80+ hours in the game so far. The bolt pistol and chainsword are optimal first relic weapon picks bc 5 classes can use the bolt pistol, and 4 classes can use the chainsword. I personally recommend the "fencing" relic chainsword and the +ammo relic bolt pistol. After those, I'd go with the plasma pistol and combat knife since they can both be used by 2 classes. Same options; +ammo / fencing. A personal recommendation for Tactical is to get the relic bolt rifle bc the grenade launcher function is very strong especially when stacked with your auspex scan. Any relic that offers improved ammo capacity is always a safe bet, and fencing is a must for melee imo.

I love it when the Darktide/Vermintide instincts kick in. The first few hours was pretty punishing, especially getting used to the controls and sound cues. But after that, whew. Tons of fun.

This game plays nothing like Darktide, mobility is worse, Stagger is not reliable, dancing around elites/bosses is way harder, there is no enemy attack slot system so you can be attacked by all the enemies at once or very close together meaning difficult to dodge, it's just so wonky

Saying Assault relys on blocking is completly not true, its on of the classes that benefits most from perfect parrys and dodges, so u should always use a fencing weapon, assault has a perk that give u 1 armor back for non lethal gun strikes, which give u so much more chances to survive, also it has another perk giving the entire team 50% more gun strike damage, if u combine the 2 u almost always get to finish and majoris enemy with a lethal gunstrike after hitting them with the non lethal one, which then gives u 2 armor back, one armor for the non lethal one and 1 for the killing one

I would add that when interrupting an enemies' reenforcement call, eventually, if you keep it up, they will reduce the time required to call reenforcements. Eventually bringing it down to almost instantly.

The main problem with combat design in this game is that a simple melee trash mobs will take away one armor bar with EVERY attack. So they basically doing the same dmg as elites they attack you by numbers of 5-20 at same time, they don’t have any attack indications and in 95% encounters you can’t execute them to recover armor. And this is completely discouraging players from aggressive play style and force you to dodge spam, create distance, use grenades or melta gun - coz if you gonna try and fight this simple enemies as “intended” you will end up paying to much of your health.

I completely agree. On lower difficulties you can run around and be hyper aggressive, restore armor and health no issue. Once I got to the higher difficulties, you just can't do it anymore. Maybe it's a skill issue man idk but when you're swarmed by 30+ enemies and each hit takes away a bar of your armor, no amount gun strikes, and executions will keep you alive.

@@Saltypelican66until you start doing the harder difficulties and a normal wave is filled with 2 zoans, 9 melee warriors, and 4 venom cannons in the back. At that point you just get roll trapped/parry trapped and it’s fucking miserable. You went for a bullet strike? You lose all your armor during the end lag because 4 warriors all attacked at a stagger quest timing, you got staggered, and you died for just trying to ply the game. It’s not fun.

With critical strikes (the headshot punish) you shouldn’t just press the button and shoot immediately, you CAN get hit and canceled out of this animation so make sure there aren’t warriors or higher threat enemies about to hit you.

1. Apart from ammo restoring, drop pod also recharges your ability infinite amount of time, it is a huge boon if you're fighting next to it, especially for classes like bulwark and sniper. Moreover, Heavy with extra 20% hp perk and Bulwark (which always have +20% hp) are restored to FULL hp each time they use drop pod, which trivializes the game since most of the time you have a droppod somewhere in the reach and can roll spam to it if need be. 2. Melta is the most busted weapon I've ever seen in a multiplayer video game. It kills or at least stunlocks entire corridors of enemies, brakes warrior blocks, have insane damage. Not any single other weapon, ranged or melee even comes close to how powerful the melta is. Which is actually making me sad, how unbalanced it is and how poor are other options in comparison

Honest question. Started a few days ago and struggling at third level of difficulty. The combination of more and harder enemies with an insane reduction of resources is a double whammy. How are you guys cranking into that level? Out of our group 2 of us are good and the third struggles. I feel like you have to be perfect with parry and dodges to progress into artificer level. You just don’t get the forgiveness from ample heals etc. I know we will do it but any tips are much appreciated

I had no idea that was an actual game until someone started porting certain aspects into fallout 4 as mods. The funniest of which was of course making the mutants in fallout 4. Like the mutants in Warhammer. The names of the weapons and the dialogue made it almost impossible to play the game cuz I was laughing too hard. Too fun and now this is out....
