As a small note, the SM2 takes place at least 200 years after the first game. The little gold studs on Titus’s head indicate 100 years of service. He had 2 in the first game, and has 4 in this one.

Takes place “A few years later” yeah those studs in his forehead represent service time at most each one represents a century of service(They could represent 50 or even 10 years but gold studs typically denote 100 years). In the first game he only had two and now he has four so it’s probably been 200 years since the last game lol.

As someone new to the universe I love seeing comments like this because I thought it was the ribbons that denote service time. I figured the metal studs were like a way for the helmet to interface with the space marine. Kinda like a wireless charger 😂

Just for anyone who doesn't know. It was leaked on the games website that there will be both pve and pvp multiplayer. I'd also imagine you'll get to make and customize your own space marine. Death to the false emperor!

I’m OK with that. As we’ve learned in the past setting a release date, only causes severe issues when it’s not met or launches in a terrible state. Matter fact I would prefer if they didn’t give release dates until 2 to 3 months prior.

I love how many enemies appear at once. Most games just don’t do justice how crazy numbers in the 40k universe are. Really shows just how horrific being an ordinary human fighting these massive wars really is.

Super excited for it and hope it does well. What I remember from the first Space Marine game, with probably a bit of nostalgia, is the sound design. The trailers for this seem impressive visually but didn't seem to express the same impact for sound that I remember.

A few years from the original game i think not; original Titus from Space Marine got two Service Studs (the small dots in the forehead). Titus from Space Marine got 4 now. So each Stud represents at least 100 years of service. Also we dont know yet the amount of time under Inquisitorial hands. I hope they set a story line for what happen in between.

Looks cool, but as a 40K collector myself, really interested to know how much you can customise armour etc. The customisation and variety of armours is what I LOVE. i want to be able to customise the look and attributes of the armour - this will be amazing if we can do more of this.

I can't wait to play through a Tyranid invasion in this perspective! Space Marine 2011 was so well done, this is exciting! OMG and Chaos Marines!? Tzeentch and Tyranids go together pretty well too! Been a 40k fan since my best friend and I discovered Rogue Trader in the early 90's :)

I Started the game thanks to thousand sons. Continued playing it with Ultramarines and Macragge Stuff wich include also Tyrannids. Here we are, those 3 armies in a simple game. Gotta love it ! (note: As someone said on another video, the fact that you can try to keep alive the soldiers will be fun)

Tyranids and Tzeentch (especially the Thousand Sons!) are two of the more compelling (and tbh least generic) factions in Warhammer, so seeing them realized in Space Marine 2 is an exciting opportunity. The only faction more fascinating to me are the T'au. Looking forward to seeing more coverage!

I remember playing a demo of the original a decade ago and coming away disappointed, even bored. Pacing was just bad as it would be a few enemies attacking, very confined corridors, and that sense that nothing was on a grand scale. This however looks like a massive improvement, leaning into Dynasty Warriors territory with a Gears of War skin. They have my attention.

Rubric Marines are often lead by a marine sorcerer or captain. A high Ranking chaos astartes. So i think you will meet them on the fields of combat and kill them in bloody battle.

Bolters, chainswords and plasma guns: all weapons equipable by 'normal humans' (Imperial Guard)

The difference being that Space Marines give plasma guns to trained specialists, while the Guard give plasma guns to soldiers who annoy the officers but haven't done anything to warrant an on-the-books execution.

Yeah, DoW3 was done dirty. And it's a shame the MMO never came to fruition - what they eventually produced instead was just SM multiplayer with more races - but considering how the lore has progressed, perhaps now would be a better time for it? The way GW has been ramping things up lately, it may become a possibility... but then, I'm still miffed about the animation artists they either co-opted or shut down, before putting the official stuff behind a paywall; so I'm not that optimistic.
