Leandros falls into Chaos as he is too clingy to the Codex Astartes. That is going to give Gulliman extreme emotional damage. The added salt to injury is, The Lion will be laughing till he hurts himself upon learning this development.
@NakedSnake18363 ай бұрын
It doesn't make sense for Leandros to be given the position of Chaplain as for all his staying true to the Codex Astartes, he ironically disregarded the very text written by his own Primarch Roboute Guilliman by contacting the Inquisition when in reality he was supposed to report Captain Titus to the previous Chaplain of 2nd Company or even the senior Chaplain, Ortan Cassius.
@attilatang64913 ай бұрын
That is true, however giving the position of chaplain can also be a form of punishment. Now as a chaplain, leandros can no longer receive honor nor go up in ranks. He is stuck permanently staying behind on the barge to preach the codex, to never fight in glorious battle, to be force to answer to the chaptor master as a way to be kept an eye on. Essentially he's been permanently placed on time out, knowing full well that Calgar and every captains look at him with shame. As you said, despite leandros following the codex like a Bible, he failed the most important rule in the codex about supposed corruption. Now he is forced to forever read and say again and again the one big rule that he broke.

@@attilatang6491 But what about the threat he gave Titus at the end when he said that if he detected even a slight trace of corruption, he would show no mercy? Somehow I don't think that was an idle threat, especially as Leandros has taken him on a mission away from his brothers. I understand that a Commissar can execute a Guardsman for any reason, but can a Space Marine Chaplain do that to a Battle Brother if he is tainted by Chaos? Because I think that's what Leandros intends to do with Titus by putting him in a situation where he could be corrupted by Chaos and if that doesn't work, he could just execute his former captain and fabricate the circumstances of why he had to kill the lieutenant.
@labrador73733 ай бұрын
@@NakedSnake1836 Because if Titus gets corrupted it makes Leandros right and everything he suffered after the first game justified, he went to the inquisition knowing well he should have reported Titus to the chaplain instead, he was most likely shunned by the chapter and made chaplain as a punishment.
@NakedSnake18363 ай бұрын
@@labrador7373 Except it's already clear that even Chapter Master Calgar knows Titus has not fallen to corruption and if there's anyone who would inevitably fall to Chaos, it would ironically be Leandros himself in the midst of trying to prove he was right.

Too true
@gavinkemp792014 күн бұрын
If anything, I expect a redemption arc, for both in fact. Titus recognized that Leandros mistrust was at least partially his fault, and he was going down the same path with his sergeant, who no longer trusted him. Leandros was rough with Titus but he was just as well, he told off the mistrusting sergeant for turning his bolter on his captain. The chapter clearly trusted Leandros enough to have him help Titus get back up and test him. The last line of Leandros felt to me less like a "I don't trust you" but more like a statement of fact and that his job is still to monitor him just like he has to monitor everyone in that company. Leandros reporting to the inquisition seems more like a plot mistake than something the writers really wanted to pin on him.

I feel like the new Amazon show 'Secret Level's will show where Titus goes after the game, we know he's returning and it makes sense that would be the next piece of lore we get, might even set up SM3 more?
@christiangonzales70673 ай бұрын
I think his secret mission at the end of the campaign will kinda be apart of the secret level Amazon show, in the clips the trailer show you can slow down and it looks just like Titus and his helmet has the laurels.

Can you explain how Calgar just brushed off the time freeze? Is he just that much of a chad or is there a lore reason? Or is him being that much of a chad the lore reason?

@@wintertrooper7918 that wouldn't make sense. titus's corruption isn't proof. So you can't say he's a cop that doesn't trust a criminal. A more accurate way to put it is that a cop doesn't trust pants that hangs a little too low below the knees.
