I could care less about PvP. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy it, but it is a way of ruining a game because it always ends up being the focus. I heard someone in the comments say, "I wish this game was less story driven," like, really?! The 40k lore is what makes it great. Capt Titus story was literally written into the lore. He is a character in 40k now. I dont ever want a game that is all about online.

PvP is a selling point, they put it in to appeal the game to a wider audiance than just PvE/RPG players, and also so we could have an extra game mode. But the game is still PvE driven because it comes from such a rich pre-established lore and centres around characters that value cooperation and fraternity. This isn't fortnite or overwatch, PvP/battle royale focus would have ruined this game and left it empty

I bought this game specifically to play offline for a campaign. Heard it was like gears and I beat the first 3 on the 360 then seen this gem and I had to get it. I love it only 44 percent of the way done and I can't complain really about the game. However haven't been a fan boy that long enough to know the community

I feel like people complaining for some reason thought this game was live service, and it was never advertised as that. It's built like the old gears of war games and that style of content. The game probably sold better than expected, so year 1 is light on content in case the game failed, so they didn't get trapped into huge promises with no players. Im sure the dev team watched all the live service games fail miserably and tried to play it safe cant even blame them. And the skin for sniper isn't even that bad. All the other classes will get salamander armor parts anyway. You now get to build your own heavy and add the new parts.

Yeah but it’s also showing how dumb their forced constraints are. Theres no need to limit cosmetics to being chapter specific over 2 years. That’s ridiculous. Say you want the cosmetics for the space wolves for example, and say that their items are coming at the end of 2026, you’re long done with the game by then. They’ve cut themselves off from so much business, most players have walked away by now. If they had more items for more classes rather than drip drip a random chapter every 4 months and limit it to 2 classes they might actually sell more…. People are begging for stuff to buy and it’s not there. People are going to be long done with this game, a lot are already. They majorly shot themselves in the foot for that.

They did the same thing with world war z it came out in 2019 and they’re still putting out dlc and content. You’re just giving entitled live service vibe with Cod, Helldivers and Fortnite. Seeing how Raven Guard cosmetics were already datamined - I think the second Champion (if there will be a second one) that comes without the cosmetic pack is not going to be RG. Raven Guard Assault will probably come in Season 4 where a new melee weapon is listed on the roadmap, making a perfect fit to introduce the Lightning Claws. At least I hope that is the plan - it would be perfect and makes a lot of sense.

Where are you getting lightning claws from? It's not happening, yall are just speculating. That would require too much, if they haven't already planned it. Claws? Two? That's a whole new pose, animations, and bunch of coding just to get dual melee to work, when GW has been getting rid of claws on most vanilla units. As a Imperial Fist space marine. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF THE EMPEROR BUFF ALL BOLTER WEAPONS! I love the Heavy Bolt Rifle and Heavy Bolter I recently started using the Auto Bolt Rifle. But they feel like pea shooters in lethal. I hope in the new difficulty. They adjust the enemies health to make it far and challenging. And buff all weapons to make them usable.

I think the problem is that on highest difficulty making bolters would make the game too easy. And you probably can't make the game any more difficult without making enemies just have more HP, one way could be spawn more enemies, but that probably is just limited by engine/hardware constraints. Altho even in campaign bolters were quite shit. 2 mags of bolters for a single chaos space marine? True fans of 40k would make bolters op.

@uhhhummm3317 There's footage of a console player without mods, firing on a Carnifex on lethal difficulty with the Bolter. And it does almost nothing. Maybe with mods that actually fix the game, bolters are fine.. Bolters in base game however are ineffective on most Majoris, they can kill it eventually but so can anything better and in less time. The Volkite, the literal worst weapon in the fucking game, can eventually kill a Majoris after wasting a full magazine. That is anything but fine.

The 9 seasons they have planned and Horde Mode will definitely be an afterthought because they'll all be disappointing. The game is a live service that'll add future content with updates. It's just a really shit live service. I know your brain may be too fried from Reddit exposure to understand that so it's ok. You'll catch on to the flaws soon I'm sure

@BehindTheGrindTV Yeah that's another complaint I and alot of other people have is the pacing of the content releases I work a 40 hour job and have put a decent amount of time in myself Vanguard and Bulwark being 25 and my Assault and Heavy being 20 my Sniper and Tactical are only 5 but even I'm getting bored of the grind of the same operations not a big fan of the PVP not that it's bad it's great just not what I look for in this kind of game so the PVE stuff is all I play they definitely gotta kick it in gear with weapon drops more chapter customization and stuff way quicker for one the stuff from the campaign all should be accessible in operations mode the red bolters from the opening titus's deathwatch gear the flamethrower it should all be added by this point but we haven't seen any if it kinda disappointing honestly hope that changes with time

About the New ennemies and Necron map, I really wish it was Necrons but I'm also kinda afraid cause lore wise they are a menace to fight against , maybe not the common necron warriors or flayed ones as they're rather frail and could be the hordes, but a Skorpekh Destroyer is tough, a Destroyer Lord could be a miniboss like a Hellbrute or a Carnifex :O !

I reinstalled the game to play on stream with a youtuber, Requiem Agent who also has fallen out of love with this game. I feel entirely ripped off, spent 130 Canadian on the gold edition and because of that ill never have a heavy champion pack without wasting a lot more money. And the "content" of the season pass had me scoff and completely delete the game. Didnt help Obelisk was a completely cut content mission from the campaign and the one new weapon we've gotten is completely shit and cannot kill a Zoanthrope without wasting all its ammo even after the 0.5 buff to it. Dark Angels: - Only two actual new unique colors - nostalgia bait helmet that people who dont have the pack cant have and it has an ugly emblem we cant remove - a helmet with hood that only looks good on Bulwark or Heavy - an ugly bulwark skin that i couldn't change the helmet of, so if i want the champion cosmetic im forced to use a helmet i hate - a skin for the bolter I'll never use, a skin for the power sword i dont like And the second pack revealed, Salamander Sniper. No idea what other colors come, but i can bet there wont be many new. Something for a bolter ill never use because bolters fucking suck, and the datamined seasons show the one chapter i wanted wont get anything. No Iron Hands. I cant be a cool fully borged up space marine, the closest ill ever get is the one robot hand and the black colors. And Horde mode is 8 months away. So. Im not gonna pretend im excited for any of the season pass content, we've gotten no actual meaningful replayable content and the map for pvp is too little too late for a boring game mode. The community has been toxic as fuck to anyone expressing they dont enjoy the state of space marine 2, which drove me away before. The only reason i downloaded the game again was a morbid curiosity to see if anything will actually improve. I dont believe it will. The thunder hammer still feels like garbage, volkite is worthless, we're not getting a new melee because they'd take too many resources to do and because im a console player i dont get to use the overhaul mod. I seriously feel i wasted my money, and i imagine many others feel same on the season pass, so season pass 2 is gonna receive far fewer purchases

If the prestige system is anything like their previous game wwz, we are talking miniscule increases to perks with none of them being what I would call game changing. For example I fully expect one of heavies prestige perks to be like 10% more ammo. Small stuff like that. I fully expect some of them to be completely useless as well like saving teammates faster or some garbage.

I think what would be really cool is if they added like a mini Great Game game mode, 24 players and 4 teams. 6 players on each team. Death Guard, Thousand Sons, World Eaters, and Emperor's Children (to represent the four Choas Gods) fight each other and whoever gets a certain amount of points is victorious.

I love this game and want more from. I do get where people are coming from with content and cosmetics but lets remember a few thing, 1. GW is actively trying to move on from firstborne stuff in general, everything is Primarus and im sure Saber had to fight tooth and nail just to give us that Ravenwing Mark VIII helmet. Next, Saber is not a major studio and has run into issues trying to balance the game to be fun and enjoyable as well as give us the most out of customization. I also feel like gaming in general has entered this doom posting era that i do not care for, play game, have fun, play more game. We gotta stop demanding the world of the smaller studios that genuinely care and start understanding that things take time.

@ArnoldJudasRimmer.. an overhaul mod that adds 2 operations, one of which is just a repurposed campaign mission, fair enough. But the cosmetics are still lacking, you need to add more mods to get more options since the Astartes mod only uses in-game stuff. And I get it we want Saber to do all the fun stuff, but like I said, GW is making decisions for "the lore" and if you know anything about GW you know they could care about the lore. Yea, that's why we got the Salamander sniper. Saber is at least trying despite all the negative doomer posting going around. I'm sorry they aren't putting out a 20 dollar cosmetic pack every week like it's COD.

Idk if its just me but theres been a major parry issue in my experiences where the parry window opens up for me, I press my parry and I don't get a successful parry nor take damage for a failed parry. The enemy would do the parry window to me, I press parry and nothing happens, I don't take damage and neither does my enemy, this started happening after the Dark Angels update and its very irritating. Could someone elaborate?

2nd post : For PvP (like everyone I suppose) I really wish more options for Cahos cosmetics : Nothing excessive but at the very least have some more Ornaments and maybe a weapon skin or 2 ! As for the Prestige, I'm really curious as to what it will be : I guess it might be some bonus dmg for some weapons or some unique perks to make you more of a ranged/melee focused class.. To be fair some weapons do not keep up very well with others on higher difficulties of PVE : Like Vanguard's Oculus carbine (the smg one) is kinda meh... Same goes for the bolt carbine for sniper or tactical (I'm talking about the PvE variant ; the PvP one shreds opponents at close mid range); or the Auto bolt rifle : all these rapid fire, low dmg weapons are decent vs hordes, but are absolutely awfull vs Elites or higher ennemies ! I expect it'll be released in December, but please, lower your expectations. People keep believing Horde Mode will save the game. It in no way will actually if it releases so late and isn't good. It can be a complete flop on release like the Obelisk map or Lethal but people don't want to discuss that or temper expectations to not be disappointed..

Yo creo que el foco principal del juego debería ser el PvE, creo que todos estamos de acuerdo en eso, creo que al modo PvP deberían agregarle un sistema de rachas (como el de CoD, por ejemplo) o bien, hordas tiránidas que ataquen a ambos equipos mientras intentamos cumplir los objetivos del modo de juego, algo asi de ve en el lore de WH40K, enemigos aliándose para luchar contra los tiránidos, que sabemos que son la mayor amenaza existente, además deberían agregar diferentes clases, tenemos Tecnomarines, Apotecarios, Bibliotecarios y Capellanes con sus respectivas habilidades y customización. La campaña debería agregarse quizá una mayor variedad de armas para usar independiente de la misión. Para PvE y PvP agregar armas nuevas como el hacha de batalla. Creo que también agregaría un modo de juego a gran escala de 30v30 como en battelfield, sería emocionante ver una carga de astartes aliados contra astartes herejes, con opción de uso de vehículos y compra de rachas. En definitiva creo que hay mucho potencial que aprovechar y poco tiempo antes que llegue la nueva generación de consolas.

Shooting themselves in the foot by saying Heavy was already taken - by an initial release $100 pay wall - is wildly insulting to fans. Now that I've maxed out absolutely everything, the painful dribble of nonsensical design choices doesn't inspire much confidence about it's future, or much of a reason to consistently return to it for that matter. Feels like an impassioned love letter to die hard fans, with a thinly veiled bomb threat scrawled on the back in crayon.

I also feel a bit, disappointed in the fact we don't have customization options for 1k sons, WB, and EC for the heretic astartes, and that we can't use those colors for operations. I've no problem using Black Legion or Iron Warriors to fit the niche in Operations, but, I'd, kind of like to use a 1k son color scheme. Ah, just personal grievances. I still love the hell out of this game.

Yes Sniper skin for Salamander chapter well known for their Sniper use and long range tatcits.......... like WTF why how i mean WTF, yes all chapter use snipers and scouts and so but Salamanders are not known for that, they are known for Flamers, Heavy Flamers, Plasmas, Meltas Hammers not bloody snipers, you want special sniper skin you go Raven Guard or Raptors. great video btw but that skin pick was weird from day one

Just wish space marine had at least half the polishment that helldivers combat has. In hd you can get rid of enemies in multiple ways, you can get rid of their limbs, destroy their weapons or risk and try shooting the weak points that require good aim. The weapon variety is good and the power fsntasy feels great in general. While in sp2 combat is slow and sometimes frustrating. Going melee into an enemy feels more like a small task instead of a fight that requires your attention. Enemies always do the same patterns and attacks so you dont need to really focus on the combat once you have the muscle memory. Wish we could rip limbs like hd so the enemies use different attacks or change their moveset...

It feels like a lot of the people complaining about things aren't very familiar with how GW operates, or 40k as a whole, it has nothing to do with Saber not wanting to churn out content, or updates, they are servicing the IP of another company, a company that takes big interest in said IP, because let's face it, Warhammer hasn't gone down the drain like a lot of other franchises. So yeah, updates are going to take time, new content, is going to take time, because it all needs approval, ESPECIALLY WHOLE NEW OPERATIONS! So...y'all need to put on your watches, because like it or not, you're gonna wait. (Everyone should be happy a game this good even exists at all.)

It feels like you’re not okay with consumers being consumers. People don’t care about how Games Workshop or 40k operates, this isn’t the tabletop. This is a video game, and unfortunately you’re gonna be held to video game standards. To the average consumer, it had everything to do with Saber, we don’t care who they have to go through. If you can’t get some maps or gamemodes greenlit by the company, then maybe you shouldn’t make a video game. Gamers have high standards for a reason. People 'not caring' has become a common trope in today's society, too eager to just eat up whatever is thrown in front of them, and still complain about it even if it's good, not all, but the majority of gamers today have COD brain, and need to touch grass, I would argue that it is very closely related to the tabletop, because nothing is going to be put in SM2 that doesn't exist in the actual game of 40k. I myself am a consumer, the same as everyone else, the difference is, and I would hope I'm not the only one who sees it this way, is that content creation, takes time to make, approval, and testing, and just because people are jumping down a companies throat, doesn't mean they need to get in gear and pump out a new update, that's how mistakes happen, that is how a game dies. I love Space Marines 2, and I'm going to be waiting *patiently* for the next content release with the people who do care.

So regarding PVP I only play it because I need the achievements, otherwise I feel like it is trash due to OP weapons that make you want to use only that so you can win, CQB feels weak because you cannot parry like in Operations/campaign, and only block. Also is it that hard to let me execute players in PVP? They should also fix the bug where the game does not recognize your mic (and I have tried everything but could not fix it), it shouldnt be that hard to fix it. It would also be nice if either they added orks or necrons in operations, and is it just me or they increased the spawns on the 2nd to last difficulty, because Jesus, I got smashed yesterday they just kept coming and coming 10 worriors + and 5-6 ranged enemies (also excuse me, didnt fiddle too much with Tyranid lore)

Bruh i dropped this after a month, got tired of the mission structure (straight linear asf), terrible skill tree (barely any impact), lack of weapons (plus multiple classes sharing guns too), customization is decent at best. The grind in this game is just not worth it, should of had an open world mission type ( Drop down on a planet and do what you want, then do main objective)
