Played a lot of colossus when Anthem came out. Had an absolute stellar build that I could solo GM3 content, albeit a little slow. Nicknamed the build the Raid Boss because of how hard it was to die once you figured out how to put the entire kit together. Absolutely looking forward to Bulwark since I have had an unscratched itch for a few years playing that role.

You can’t dodge unblockable in animation but you can swing cancel into a parry. You get used to when the swing too so u know when to just wait it out

Can I say this for weapon choice. If you are a berserker who likes to charge to a middle of a horde and slaughter/rampage. Then chainsword is ur pick. It has an Aoe stomp that rips those aunts to bloody mess. It's currently my bulwark pick. If you are a tactical, patient and awareness. The powersword is the pick. It's not design for combat in the middle of a horde. Rather you must move backwards till all of them are in front of you. The powersword aoe is mostly a cone effect like the melta gun. It's also good for chaos though. Can't say the power fist, haven tried yet.

Seems like bulwark is a bit buggy. When a tyranid warrior does a blue attack even when timed block it still does damage to you and pushes you back. Once in a while it parries. Even just holding up your shield does not block warrior attacks 🤦‍♂️.

Thank you. Unfortunately the Parry is currently broken. It works off the release instead of the initial click which means a rapid double tap will more reliably parry, if it would parry. Balanced swords have a very small window to parry while fencing swords have a little bit more room. With that in mind its not a very viable class if you're not hitting those parries and causing those stun executions. Which leads me to the weapons. Plazma is good, sword (my favorite) is low damage, the speed and damage are clearly off. You will experience this at lower levels and difficulties as i have. 6 hits on easy mode with a mastercrafted sword. Thats not good, its bad. I know you are supposed to be a tank, however with limited, limited weapons and the sword being an energy sword essentially, i should be getting that in good 4 hits, afterall im not facing 10 enemies but hundreds. Hopefully the relic weapons get that to 3 and the lost damage is just a bug on the starting 3to 4 weapons. Since that i went to the heavy class..... Okay theres the damage... But im feeling like this is Monster Hunter wilds (the game focused to Japanese players and playstyle ) where every class not running a sword is a detriment to the team and a handful of the classes are almost dead weight... But two great swords can outdo a team or two of other classes.... Its 100 dps vs 6 dps to 24/43 DPS standard hit. Don't forget the heavy hits at 350+ vs 24-167. With scaling thats (roughly something like) 3500 vs 1670. And buffs thats 5250 to 2940. Soo since Japanese people use greatswords and swords in general.... Thats why they're the pushed good ones. Everything else is just a note that keeps being thrown into the garbage

I haven’t really noticed that the Intimidating Aura has a bug that causes it to disable gun strikes as a perfect parry. If this is indeed true then that means that us Bulwark mains have been loosing out on a good chunk of our DPS while rocking that perk.

Heres a tip you didnt know: Makes sure on cleave mode (sword glowing) and do sprint/roll attack then delay the next swing by 0.5s. Youll do a strong cleave followed by a jump downward thrust. It one shots in pvp

Not taking the 40% damage increase on the power rake in the power sword perk tree is a huge MISS! Also not taking the AOE damage for parries is also a miss. True it’s bugged to not allow gun strikes on majoris enemies, but the damage from the parry is crazy good

Only reason the parry doesn’t give gunstrikes is because the parry interaction happens after the gun strike is available. The parry opens gun strike, then the AOE hits which denies the gun strike

Power sword has two stances swappable outside of combos. Focused (regular) and Wide (electrified). Combos are pretty basic, but if you pause after an attack you go into a hold position (sword turns bright blue) that you can then execute a whirlwind/ground AOE move regardless of stance you are in. Takes a while to get into the rhythm, but i enjoy the versatility. Hope this helps, good luck!

Its a tighter window compared to the rest of the classes. You have to tap the parry button at the perfect moment. Holding the parry button for even a smidge will default to blocking. I recommend to try a fencing melee variation to get good practice in before when you want to switch back to balance

Controls are frustrating why isn't it possible to switch between melee and ranged weapons like they do in Darkise also they need to zoom further out with camera to get a better reactiontime from attacking enemies from behind. Yeah the parry doesn’t really work. Not even perfect parry I even use a chainsword with fencing that I use on my other classes as well and it doesn’t do anything. Won’t play the class until it works or it’s meant to be like that but that would mean I will never play it. I like using parries it’s just good to hold the big ones off. Without it I don’t see a point.

Use a Fencing weapon. In my personal opinion there is not reason to use Blocking or Balanced, simply because you do not Block with the weapon anyway, you block with your shield. Therefore, you should always increase your parry window opportunity by using a fencing weapon on Bulwark.

I can't get on with the shock build. It's far too squishy on ruthless I find. (Skill issue, I guess) I pick all the tanky traits and become truly inkillable while supporting my team. Even if they go down, I'll carry the match 😂 turned my win rate from 20% with shock build to 90% with tank build. I love being a THICC boy.

I thought so too at first, but it's actually a doddle to deal with. First and easiest option is run the one with the grapple hook then combo them or unload a few rounds into them. Second is to bait them into combat and drop a grenade at your feet. EVERYONE tried to do the light, light, hold combo and they get stuck in it. And grenades are so powerful. You can also run a sniper and just cloak before they see you, run around behind them and either shoot or combo them. Usually the panic is enough to stop them getting to grips with things. Plasma AoE around them, Assault drop on them, etc. etc. etc. There's a swathe of ways to deal with them. Exactly this. Also, melee damage ignores armor. Best way to deal with them most of the time is to melee them

Because they do reviews and such? They have more to do, more games to cover. They already have over 300 hours in the game, have already beaten everything the game has to offer. Contrary to what people think, there are certain games we enjoy enough to keep playing long term for fun lol. This is certainly one of them for us.
