Everyone misreads this scene and thinks she's a villain when in fact she just showed remarkable devotion.

Tbf If I've understood the campaign thus far, without the benefit of playing, it seems as if Chairon and Gadriel, especially, have had suspicions of Titus in totality, especially since Titus is not very forthcoming with information concerning Graia. It's certainly disappointing that Gadriel jumped to conclusions, but not strange that he came to that decision.

He said he witnessed and survived the Word Bearers' attack on Calth when he was young (which happened in the Horus Heresy, making him one of the OG Primaris Marines), so he must have been either around Ultramarine survivor camps, or local resistance groups to live. The thing about the Word Bearers is that they love spreading Corruption through the means of mortal cutists, by making them infiltrate untainted communities. But since Chaos usually taints their worshippers, they could be identified if you train yourself enough. This means, he must have learned how to detect such people as a basic skill at an extremely young age (you can't become a space marine after your pre-teens), or else he and his place of safefty was doomed. Hence, that is why Chairon loathes Chaos so extremely, even compared to a space marine: He saw first hand, as a child, what the followers of Chaos and heretics are capable of. That is how he is able to spot the signs of Tzeench in the traitor guardsmen, then in the Psyker's unusual behaviour.

Favorite part of the game is how Operations ties into the Main Campaign. I love the fact that you actually play as background characters doing the missions that are required for the Main Campaign. Best part of the game by far.

And I love how your space marines play massive parts in the campaign. They save the day by killing the hive tyrant when the 3 carnifexes spawn, and they launch the ship that rams the chaos portal. You can tell they planned both modes in conjunction with one another. It's not Halo 4's Spartan Ops where the devs came up with dumb, impactless scenarios with recycled assets after the fact

The whole idea of Chapters is to ensure no single person could hold the insane amount of power the Primarchs once did with their legions of tens if not hundreds of thousands of Astartes. The only religious space marines are the black templars who have abandoned the codex Astartes and subscribed to the idea of the ‘god emperor’. The emperor hates the idea of being viewed as a god and it is literally the reason why he burned Monarchia and punished Lorgar and the Word Bearer legion. Any actual fan of the emperor and his views would not view him as a god, and the space marines are the embodiment of his will, authority and power. They aren’t religious. Sorry it really frustrates me when people assume that just because the imperium is religious it means the space marines are too lol. The emperor would hate what the imperium has become and the space marines know that, they’re fighting to protect and restore the imperium to what it was which is exactly why one of Guilliman’s first actions after his recent return was to confront and reprimand the high lords of Terra for giving the inquisition too much power. The emperor views religion as a trap for chaos. He believes that an atheist society is invulnerable to chaos temptation. He strictly kept the imperium atheist in 30k. Guilliman was sickened by what he saw upon his return.

I don't think blanks can be space Marines at all. Since all marines are partially connected to the warp (it's why there are crazy mutations in some marines like turning into a literal werewolf and how marines are so tough/fast beyond what should be possible) there have also been zero blank space Marines ever in lore Non Psykers in 40k have been known to straight up resist warp powers thru sheer strength of will. I think Titus is just mentally built different

It varies from person to person. Psyker’s rituals. Vary from placebo to actual practiced rituals depending on books you read. If it involves more human sacrifices I be concerned but on cutting a hand isn’t going to draw attention compared to some others. The red flag was her basically talking coherent when she is just start sending a message. Most communication takes Longer than that if I remember from a ciaphas cain novel. Edit: The imperial side does regularly Sacrifice people in rituals but not nearly enough for simple communications. The ones in the chapel who are in those machines are usually the ones use like batteries if a boost is needed. Chaos does more sacrifice for rituals then imperials do but not for messages but for magical things.

@azraelknightquest5754 i agree that he should have followed the chain of command but Titus still displayed an unatural resistance to the warp and chaos energies, he consistently refused to tell Leansros of what was going on around them (while we know Titus was just as clueless as Leandros his refusal to share that made it seem like he had knowledge of it) he always went against what the codex recommends (such as the opening scene, the codex recommends against that for the very reason that caused Titus and the squad to get separated ) not to mention that Titus was ALWAYS right there when things went Tits up

@wintertrooper7918 Titus can't give information he doesn't have, Leandros questioning Titus was dangerous to the team and the mission, and as Titus explained, the Codex Astartes guides them but is not supposed to inhibit free thinking (which Guilliman himself confirmed upon his return). And Titus always being there doesn't condemn him or negate that Titus led them to glorious victory against impossible odds, with courage and honor. Leandros turned it into a mark of shame for the Ultramarines. He failed and acted more the heretic than Titus did. But then, a heretic always thinks he's right, doesn't he?

Honestly, he was kind of right in here. Unlike Leandros who was like "You survived Chaos trying to kill you, you must be one of them" his reason for going against Titus was that a, up to this point, trusted psyker accused him because she claimed to have read titus' mind. And he saw reason after the ruse was revealed. Instead of doubling down and stabbing Titus in the back like Leandros did.

Ok here’s a thing, so that mini shield on Gadriel’s armor is called an Ecranche and it’s purpose is to protect the armpit while jousting. It should be covering the armpit on the side it is on. It is usually on the left side of the wearer, it’s main focus is to deflect or absorb piercing blows.

Lessor psykers can also be used, the Astropath is throwing her mind millions of light years across the warp and real space, as such she is exposed to all the horrors of the warp and far more raw power than a single mind can endure. The rest of the choir exists to buffer some of that, often there minds get burnt out if the message is long or being sent more than just a few systems away. Astropaths in general are very hard for any deamon to possess.
