That's how anyone is when they live near any world famous landmarks really. I, for example, live in DC, and in the late spring and summer months, I avoid the entire Smithsonian area like the plague because of the thousands of giddy tourists that don't know metro etiquette going to the museums, the national monument, the capital building or the While House. I see the monument in the distance every day that I drive to work and I'd visited all the museums at the Smithsonian before I was 12, so they aren't particularly remarkable to me now. For people that don't live in your area though, it's a bit of a novelty. Particularly so for me since all that shit is free to enter.

My best friend and his family were stationed in Tacoma when his dad enlisted in the army, and I visited them last summer all the way from South Carolina. When we went to the Space Needle it was amazing except we didn't get any slushies either. This video really made me happy :)
