I’m on the fence with this calendar but one thing that does my head in is when they include the same brand a couple of times. I remember looking at the perfume shop one last year and they did this as well and there is no excuse for it as there are so many designer and niche brands to choose from. not sure if these guys are doing it but I never understand it when advent calendars include lots of summary fragrances, because it’s winter! Of course people can wear what they want any time. Pomelo is a zingy citrus summary sent. I ordered a plum pudding candle from Jo loves so I’m hoping it’s going to smell like Christmas pudding! Feel a bit sorry for Jo Malone as she’s been getting a lot of aggressive comments directed at her after refusing to comment on something her son said about the Israel situation.

You're right; the whole point of these curations is to send out NEW brands for us to try. Not repeat brands! I hope you enjoy your plum pudding candle - does it smell like X'mas pudding? I can't eat a legit, proper one because of wheat allergy, but I wouldn't mind smelling it!

I agree the harrods fragrance advent is better but i have also ordered this as i want to try new scents

They need to release a LOT more numbers of that calendar - and maybe find a way to ship that thing worldwide.

Harrods does ship worldwide. And Jo Love and Jo Malone and Penhaligon through Selferidges. Space NK has stores all over the place in the US and they should be selling this here!

No, I'm afraid Harrods did not ship their fragrance advent calendar worldwide (I'm talking only about the fragrance advent calendars - they ship most individual products, yes). Space NK said they won't ship this one either. That's not very inclusive, because both brand themselves as international retailers. I wouldn't blame a UK-only one such as Roccabox, but if you're going to sell internationally, then work out how to sell everything!

Great review. Harrods is better! I like some of Space NK's variety of fragrances, but expected more full or deluxe sizes. I did not get Harrods fragrance calendar but for the money it looked like a better purchase then Space NK's. At this time, my budget is tapped out on purchasing calendars....I have recently started buying holiday gifts for family.

Absolutely! They had more full sizes - and even better sizes among the deluxes overall - and high-value scents. More importantly, no candles, mini or otherwise. Oooh nice, hope you got some great gifts for everyone!

I'm not a fan of Floral Street or Escentric Molecules (or hair mist!) so it's a pass from me. I guess they're trying to compete with Diptyque or Jo Malone at a lower price point? I'd like a dedicated fragrance one from Liberty's or Fortnums

I'm prolly the only person on earth who doesn't GET Escentric Molecules. Something that interacts with pheromones (don't most perfumes already interact with "body chemistry"), and that only other people may be able to smell on you? A bit too "Emperor's New Clothes" for me.

As soon as I see E Molecules, I sign out of interest of calendars 😂 I don't know why, the Molecules just make me feel queasy and remind me of an old TV scratch and sniff card game that was out in the 90's 😂

You and me both. I CANNOT with the "smells differently on everyone". Duh. That's how it works with MOST perfumes. Nor can I with the "you may not smell it, but everyone else can". That's a bit "Emperor's New Clothes" to me. Only the wise can smell it? 😂😂

They gave me SIX samples when I bought ONE perfume a couple of weeks ago. I feel like they tried to copy Harrods but with 1/10ths the value.
