This is just amazing, so many prophesies of our future (now) world. This equals Anderson in brilliance and it is a shame Roberta Leigh's name is not as lauded as Gerry's. I saw this as a boy in the 60s and it was still gripping in 2024 when I am 68! Fortza Galasphere!

Great Memories ,watched this as a kid back in the 60s on a black and white TV here in australia,,,,,great fun,,,very exciting,,,,visions of the future,,,,,i have the DVD set of these episodes ,which i watch every few weeks,,,gets me away from all the doom and gloom in the world and puts a smile on my face,,,,i was given a plastic model of a Glalisphere as a birthday present in the late 60s,,,,,lord only knows where it is now,,,,great stories,,,,and the opening sceans and the sound of the glasisphere wissing by the planets,,,and the full on shot of the sun close up,,,,,,great stuff,,,,,,yes ,,,i am 62,,,but still very young at hart,,,,,love these old shows,,,,,,big thank you to the people that made this show, and to the people that put this on u-tub,,,,and to the younger ones watching ,,,enjoy,,,,,,Robert,Brisbane,Australia,,,

Not seen in the UK since it was last transmitted (on ITV) back in the 1960s. The series was thought lost until Roberta Leigh found a set of prints in 1997 in her garage.

My keen eye detected several Inspirations for things in future show series. Captain White's rotating Desk? Original Fireball XL5 concept ship? Thunderbirds T5? And ... More to come. *There are not enough Thanks, in the world, Jamie Anderson & Richard James, for keeping the Anderson Legacy going, and growing.* 👍👍 10⭐

Well yes but remember this series comes from Roberta Leigh, the producer and writer of "The Adventures of Twizzle" and "Torchy the Battery boy" ... Space Patrol was aired soem months after Firebal XL5 and comparison is inevitable ... some people said Leigh 's Space Patrol is more realistic than Anderson's Firebal XL5, for example the space suits in SP vs. the "oxygen pills" form XL5 ... but I like both shows

The electronics credit went to F C Judd - Fred Judd lived near where I live now, and was a radio ham who designed and built a few radio antennas that became quite popular like the Slim Jim. I the late 70s, he was quite ancient, and a bit grump but a very clever fella! Nice to remember him from the credits here,

Distant, hazy early 60s memories of this wonderful series. It's almost gothic futurism. TV Comic's 1966 Annual had a wonderful colour photo of Huskey, Dart, Slim and an Alien animal on it's front endapers.

Is it me or did the episode get a massive remaster? It looks great :) Even though Space Patrol wasn't by Gerry Anderson, it's nice to see it as as part of the GA catalogue now Great way to honour Roberta Leigh, if it wasn't for her Twizzle and Torchy series the later Anderson shows (especially the Supermarionation series) might not have existed

maybe this episode is one of those 3 or 4 35mm episodes that survived, the rest are 16mm copies from a personal collection of Roberta Leigh, the creator of the series (all the episodes) ... but in 2018 they sold a Blu-Ray restored editon ... don´t know if they enhanced the pisodes too

With the only shows I know Roberta Leigh from being Torchy the Battery Boy and the Paul Starr pilot, I wasn't expecting much, but darn it this was actually pretty good! The main city model was pretty impressive too. About the only negative things would be the choice of music, and that one random bit of sudden sexism.
