Wow Space Patrol and in colour! Remember watching this as a 5 year old on our black and white TV, the distinctive theme tune and incidental music have stayed with me for the past 60 years. A great series with excellent storylines.

I set up my laptop next to the main computer and put these on a USB drive then as I do stuff at the main computer I can watch these and movies or listen to audio books. I find it much better then TV. Thanks so much.

this is super good stuff. it gives real science facts out for the kids in the 1960s unlike some information kids are presented with today by certain types of teachers pushing some science which isn't actually altogether real science as such but more opinion based ideals made out to be as science.

Hidden inside this show is some fairly decent science. Once one gets past the people living on gas giants part.

It was intended to be as scientifically accurate as possible, except for where it was deliberately made-up. At the time, no one knew whether or not Mars or Venus were habitable. People thought that Venus must have water because they could tell it was covered in clouds, and that Mars must have people because it had canals. It's just too bad the Venusian clouds turned out to be unbreathable, extremely hot acidic vapor and the Martian canals turned out to be just an optical illusion. People still weren't entirely certain at the time that Jupiter and Saturn didn't have a solid planet underneath all of those clouds, either.

@@melkiorwiseman5234 Well there is that gravity thing too. Where people get crushed into a tic-tac. I think we knew about that. But you are right, I remember back in the 60's we didn't know where the Moon came from. We've learned a lot.
