I was about 6 when I first saw this series in Australia on our National Broadcaster.....Finding it again many years later on You Tube, warmed my heart....I'm 64 years old now.

As good as any Star Trek episode! I remember the shows as a child. I never forgot the sound effects. Better than most sci-fi films.

In some ways Space Patrol is more sophisticated than Fireball XL5. Gerry Anderson was never a stickler for scientific veracity. Space Patrol's writer Roberta Leigh had a better grasp of science and science fiction tropes - as shown by their suspended animation chiller rooms and frequent references to distances snd velocities.

Why is Galosphere 347 sometimes referred to as 024?

8:26 In an earlier episode they used 024 as their own was being serviced. The take-off sequence from that is often reused. Even in one episode when Marla was on holiday.
