4:14 tell me about it. The visual value sure goes down when it takes up most of the room and you end up desperate for every inch of space you can get. This will result you having to push the sofa into wall space smushing the curtains against the window in the process. (Kills all chances of looking professional) So now in the summer it's either keep the window closed or open. Now you will need to consult the Farmer's Almanac so you can tell how rainy the summer is going to be because you have to move mountains simply close a window. Or have the neighbors see you stand on the couch cushions to open the window. Learning the hard way, I think is the best way to become an architect. My mom let me stay at our house when she moved under the conditions, I pay all the bills and keep the house up. Now I am working on straitening up the disasters I made like windows blocked by furniture. Looking forward to my fist summer by an open window in my study space. It was not fun having to squeeze behind the TV to open a window. Ok so now my house is a little messy with space planning going on and nice well fitted furniture. I decided to buy the small electric fireplace over the fancy large one. Best thing I ever did. 🤣 Fun fact, I used to be a slight hoarder.

lol, my flat is probably the size of that main living room + kitchen. It's such a big difference between US homes and EU. Even EU middle-class/upper middle class houses are not this size.

I live in the US as someone in the middle class, and I have to say that this house is still MASSIVE. My house is 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bath, which is pretty standard at least in my area.

At 4:10 proof that I am not the only one that has a urinal in my house! Wish there were more enlightened architects and home builders. As if a man's anatomy changes when going in a public vs a home restroom.

Space planning 101. The space seems to plan itself, nothing unique.
