Space Quest: Chapter I - The Sarien Encounter, commonly known as Space Quest I, is a graphic adventure game released in October 1986 by Sierra On-Line. It is the first game in the Space Quest series. It quickly became a hit, selling in excess of 100,000 copies. Total sales are believed to be around 200,000 to date, not including the many compilations it has been included in.[citation needed]
Space Quest was the brainchild of Sierra programmers Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe, who had worked on prior titles like King's Quest II, but had not designed their own game before. According to Murphy, "at that time (1985), everything at Sierra was so somber and had an almost medieval atmosphere. So we decided 'Why not make a fun, silly game?'"

damn, this was such a great game, my favorite Quest game over 35 years ago. it took me many months to finish it. I have a lot of thoughts lately. sometimes I think it's so wonderful to know the truth that the earth is flat, to know the truth that outer space is just science fiction, it's really a great intellectual satisfaction to know the true shape of our earth. you see, I really enjoy coming to videos that talk about the flat earth, I love to humiliate all the dumb, ignorant, blind globers, who claim to live on a spinning ball. all these globers are so stupid, it's so funny to see their pathetic arguments that they live on a spinning ball 🤭, and sometimes I feel like I wish I could stay there, stay a little kid and play all those wonderful Quest games forever without growing up. you see, solving all those great Quest games when you're a kid gives you so much satisfaction. when you are so young, you don't know about all the ugly lies of our world, you don't know about all the evil freemasons, you don't know about the elites who lie to you every day. you are so naive at that age, you trust people, you believe people, you believe your teachers, you believe science, you believe everything (almost everything), you just trust people to tell you the truth. do you understand what I'm trying to say? I want to thank you for uploading this wonderful video 🙏 being twelve years old, thirteen years old, maybe even fourteen years old, it was a very beautiful and special time in my life. I miss it, so much 😢
