I have to say Adam, It's sad to see the end of the GRUK space race. Nevertheless, this video was the most emotional out of all of them and it shows humanity that we should not conflict in space but rather work together to explore the universe. As for your replicas, they are still very detailed as always. Well done and keep up the very good work :)

So many milestones. The first USSR-US joint mission. The first jointly developed module, the docking module. The first trip for Deke Slayton, which represented the end of his cold war with the NASA doctors who grounded him. Then, the last mission of an Apollo. Both the Command and Service modules were permanently retired. And the beginning of the longest pause in U.S. crewed flights -- six years until 1981 -- though the Voyager missions were a great success during the late '70s and since. For those of us who grew up in the '60s as space buffs, this Apollo-Soyuz mission was a curtain call for the great drama of our youths.

I always get a bittersweet feeling from this mission: the first international crewed space mission - and the first space flight of the last of the original Mercury Seven astronauts to fly (Deke Slayton) - but also the last flight of both an Apollo spacecraft and a Saturn rocket - and the first of two U.S. hiatuses in crewed spaceflight. It's hard to believe that the second (and current) hiatus has already proven to be 3 years LONGER than the first (9 years vs. almost 6 years) - and in the year 2020 to boot!

This was so beautiful, loved it. Deke Slayton finally got to fly into space, together with cosmonauts who only a few years before were cold war enemies. They paved the way for Shuttle Mir and the ISS. You can also see they get on rather well, they've actually become friends and it's wonderful. Rest in peace Alexei Leonov, godspeed you beautiful satellite. Music was a little too loud in some places, i'd have liked to hear what was actually being said here and there. Although i can always find that source material later. Also very impressed with the details of the spacecraft. You've even got the Apollo strobe light on the CSM. Wonder now what'll be next? Shuttle Approach and Landing Test? STS-1?

Awesome episode. Who knew that ASTP would merely be the first step for the ISS? Turned out to be more valuable than at first appearance. Also, a cool idea for a future episode would be an Apollo visiting a Salyut space station. They actually planned this, but the Soviets pulled out at the last minute.
