Voskhod II landed 400 kilometers off landing site target, after a cold night, both Belyayev & Leonov were rescued and they had to ski out of the snowy inhospitable forests of Upper Kama Upland. Their capsule was later recvered by a Mil-Mi 4 "Hound" helicopter.

Wooow the Mariner 4 was totally unexpected! 😍😍 It funny to see all these missions one after the other. It really gives a comprehension of their link and sense. Also, it seems to me, that the Russians clearly pushed on the "manned" part of space exploration, while the Americans went for the robotic scientific study. Isn't it? Interesting and amazing video as always. 💪💪
@kurtz88043 жыл бұрын
@Yuri Castaldo, I disagree with you. In the USSR, great attention was also paid to automatic interplanetary stations. The Americans succeeded in the exploration of Mars, and the Russians in the exploration of the Moon and Venus. There were really a lot of scientific achievements, but it is a long time to list them. If you are interested, then look for information on the Internet

There's a sub stage that stays attached to the core and the boosters after they separate then the substage separates.

due to the size and complexity it's hard to film. The last dozen parts took an hour to add because the program was running so slow. However I am thinking about it.

The days of the giants! These guys had NO idea of what they were up against, how it had to be done, how crude their equipment was, how their lives and those of their fellow cosmonauts hung in the balance, and they did it anyway, and got away with it! Looking back, it is almost tragic that the last Apollo flight to the moon didn't carry a Russian. I know how awful their politics are, and how different they are from us, but there absolutely has to be a certain comradery between cosmonauts and astronauts that transcends the politics. The politically correct BS Artemis program promises to deliver both a woman and a person of color (I.E. Black) to the moon's surface. Very important. I suggest a black, female, gay, muslim, Russian. I covers all grounds. Leonov of course is rolling in his grave, probably laughing at our stupidity.
