I was born in Iraq and during the 80s we had a very popular TV show called "Science for All" aired every Wednesday and of course part of the show was space news from USA and Russia, news about Atlantis, discovery and Soyuz space shuttles which one is going up or which one is coming down, in 1986 we witnessed challenger exploded. In 2016 I visited Florida and we went to Kennedy space center and there I stood in front of Atlantis, it was amazing, brought back all those memories when I was a child used to see the space shuttle on TV and here I am face to face with it something I would never forget.

I just stared at the shuttle for like 30 minutes... My family went to go and look at other things while I just admired the shuttle. Now I wish I could have gone back to see it again, I also own a few pieces of the shuttle to this day.. Means alot to me.

A shuttle should have gone to the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton. Not only did the USAF provide most of the shuttle astronauts, they used monies from their budget at critical budget points in the shuttles life. It was the USAF and their research into lifting body capabilities of space travel via the X-15 and X-24 projects that lead to the creation of the shuttle fleet. Not to mention that 3 famous NASA astronauts came from Ohio, Neil Armstrong first man to walk on the moon, John Glenn first US astronaut to orbit the Earth and Jim Lovell who uttered those now famous words; "Houston, we have a problem." Not to mention Dayton is the cradle of aviation because of the Wright brothers and 60% of the US population is within an hours driving distance of Wright-Patterson AFB.
