been playing this game for about 4 years now and still not bored of it. It had so many improvements and graphics improvements since that video and seem to only keep getting better. I can say no two rounds are the same. Very round feel fresh in there own way. I mostly play as an Chemist as there around 300 difference Chems i can make to heal, kill or do weird stuff with.. this is definitely a game to give a go

Somewhat similar is the Dwarf Fortress vid. The npc autonomy can make for some interesting scenarios.

Modders. Modders program the ass hats and etc. A lot of these things in this game are mods you can apply to a server.
