So apparently liquid crystals "grow" a present defect over time. What might that indicate in the mosaic and star crystals found in meteorites, will the present defect grow over time? Assumedly the time period needed could be immense. Is there a catalyst present within the crystals themselves or might they be dependent on some unknown stellar source? Interesting field of research. Thanks for sharing this with us. ❤️
