You can pull planetoides in using the harpoon, and dock to the docking port, also mining planetoids for ressources is a LOT more efficient!

You should set the solar panels like a pyramid, down 1, out 1, and another row of solar panels. Also check the inventory of the last auto miner, not the first. Any bottlenecks would be on the last one. Temporary scaffolding is your friend, build conveyor ramps to bring the resources down. Replace with tubes later. Remember the tube - conveyor interface is a 2x1x1 machine.

You can always put the power cables under the floor and they will clip through the floor plates it helps with space conservation

You could have raised your conveyor belts over the electrical connections of the auto catchers and merge both rows onto the conveyor in the middle between the auto catchers.

Why not use the sloped conveyors to drop the floor levels at this time but make it line up with the top floor to make the tube upgrade easy. Also for the worry about conveyor backups why not add a storage container early and force fill it and resources seem unlimited so it would be easy to add more storage when needed

As soon as you started making the elevated side platforms and said you were thinking aout extending the base platform towards a new "front" end that would house the planetiod dock, I pictured an elevated platform for the dock (and maybe the scientist area below/behind to keep them out of the way and smooth out material intake belts to the other elevated processing areas). A slightly taller+wider "nose" docking/maneuver control area out in front of an elongated/narrow central body, thats being driven by two side-rear mounted perpetual power generators would be a good look. Just make sure to name it the NCC1701-Z

You're in space why does it need structural support O.o. everything is free floating lol. a cool idea is to make a spiral conveyor going down (either going down on each cardinal direction or just two cardinal direction box stairwell vs hairpin stairwell). I'd rotate the conveyor to deliver to the back of the "spaceship" then have the spiral at the back so nobody sees it and moving the gathering to the middle instead of the edge. you can still deliverthe product to the back using the output.

You can build a deck underneath that to add stuff that you don't want on the top you can leave the planet pullers and stuff up at the top and you can put like your smelters and stuff underneath just put columns and stuff down there and you can run your conveyor belts from there up by using different things I've seen other people do it on their channel so you can do it too

You can build a cosmic harpoon, to attract a planetoid to your station ship so you don’t have to build all the thrusters!

You could also do a temporal downward belt from one flor to the other until you can get tubes, also put the large storage so you can use the resources without taking them out every time. Hope it helps. Keep up the great content.

For your dragonfly's tail, you can use a group of planetoids linked together with docks. The planetoids can be grabbed with the harpoon, so they are dragged to you (instead of you having to fly to them). You can then dock them in a line. This will also give you lots of land for automation and people along with lots of different resources for building.

Just a Tip, the machines can do multiple processes at the same time, so by making a second smelter to only produce rods, your just wasting power.

I think it is because I have an integrated video driver (HP All-in-one desktop) Hoping to eventually upgrade myself to a real computer but that won't happen until I win the lottery (and we all know what the odds of that are) I continue to live vicariously through your gameplays as I enjoy your content greatly. the solar panels are the best power despite giving only 1 power as they dont need direct access to the sun, so you can stack them infinitely on eachother as long as you build walls around, then floor on them then you can place ontop of them.

Is it just me or is Z mistaking the front and back side of the platform cause the driving steering goes in the raised platform and he is confusing the sides and making his build on the the wrong end?

There is no wrong end. I deleted the platform anyway and fly 3D. I have docking bay both side and I connected both for planetoids. The humans living area on the bott level at the moment, but probably when the next redesign time will arrive I will move them to the top.
