On July 21, 1969 at 02:56 UTC, a few days shy of my 14th birthday, I watched Commander Neil Armstrong become the first person to step onto the Moon's surface. Pilot Aldrin joined him 19 minutes later, and they spent about two and a quarter hours together exploring the site they had named Tranquility Base upon landing. So NASA, all I want for Christmas is to see the next humans land on the moon before my time on earth expires. The sooner the better, and not just for me, but for all humankind. No pressure, but I know you can do it. Thanks to all involved in the space program for all you do for us around the world. You have made significant steps in improving life on this wonderful planet. Thanks for a great 2022, and all the best in 2023 and beyond.

You know, I’m part of Gen Z, or as NASA and I like to call us, the Artemis Generation, and I’ll say, I can’t wait to feel a similar feeling you guys felt back in 1969! But I will never get the same feeling, as that was the first time in human history, that humans landed on the Moon. But hey, if we do get to Mars by 2033, I will get an even better feeling. And maybe you will too! If you love to see us go onto Mars. Hopefully you do!

Thank you, Dan. I am certainly looking forward to the next year of spaceflight! Could this also be the year that NASA starts showing webcasts in 1080P (or better) and starts using the correct SI units when communicating to the public? We are old and wise enough to deal with both. Thanks for a great 2022!!

@2:01 Is wearing fabric wrapped about the head and face inside a helmet in microgravity a foolish risk for humans who need to breathe? Is this an example of "political inclusiveness" superseding "sound engineering"?
