QotV - "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.". - Arthur C Clarke So I like sci-fi that has 'unbelievable' elements, to represent the strangeness of the genre. And to show despite how advanced technology is represented, it still comes down to the factor of the human condition.

Mecha is my favourite but I'm also really fond of Pulpy Sci-Fi. Outer Limits, One Step Beyond, 60s Doctor Who, HG Wells. Reality is fine but not what I'm looking for. I like my radiation and cosmic rays to result in more than just cancer/blindness.

It's funny. I ran Dark Conspiracy for a while when it first came out, but I have no recollection of the space rules/vehicles.

Given that my main jam is Shadowrun I like a midway point between hard Sci fi and fantastic Sci fi. Not opposed to either spectrum though. I'm thinking I might need to get a copy of Dark Conspiracy...

QotV: The kind of SF I like is, "yes." I particularly like space opera that covers big ideas, a la Star Trek.

Sad to see this didnt get a lot of views. I think it maybe because the setting sounds way more fun on the ground as a X-Files/Priject Blue Book like setting. Qotd: I like fantastical sci fi. Aliens and tech has always been fun. The idea with sci fi is that it could be.

QotV: Im a fan of most kinds of sci fi except transhuman stuff like eclipse phase. Love that dark conspiracy uses real spacrcraft, big fan of space myself. Setting has some cool stuff in it

I know I'm not the only one feeling the itch to reinstall KSP... For the question, I like it hard. Some fantastic elements are fine, but the more grounded in reality the happier I am. The Expanse hits an excellent balance to me.

Vid question: I like a range, though I go more fantastical overall. I'd rather not be calculating the Delta-V as in GURPS Space.

He don't cover one very specific fantasy RPG, won't even name it. Most basic reason, there are way too many already covering it. Beyond that, he'll give his full explanation at 5000 subscribers or such. "Fsntastical" vs "fantasy": he has covered a lot of fantastical (fantasy adjacent) role playing games.
