Ok I see that supernovas are an event that can happen now but, HBM strangely added a red star in the sky witch in the game files is labeled a Digamma star. Now we already know what digamma can do to an RBMK reactor so, what were to happen if this red star were to explode.

I don't know about any such plans for now, the mod is being developed for 1.7.10 along with the main version of NTM. The other working version of NTM is for 1.12.2 but not any higher.

It actually has a destruction, it just takes some time in about several minutes for the crater to appear because the tsar bomba explosion radius is about 500 blocks.
