Awesome footage, it's great the you panned around so we can see the large crowd. Loved everyone reaction.

Crazy that condensation cloud is like 8 to 12 miles up. Where airlines cruise. How fast that thing drops down is crazy.

Best homemade footage that I've seen. The booster is shedding something moments before landing, 5:07
@danahan0120 күн бұрын
That was the staging ring. It was a planned that way so the booster would be a little lighter on landing.

Wow there were a LOT more spectators than I'd realized from all of the other videos I've seen.

6:20 - When the camera comes back into focus, you can see the shock wave pass down through the clouds, then a second or so later, you see the shock wave go back up through the clouds after bouncing off the ground.

One of the most overrated events in human history. Apollo 11 engineers landed actual humans on the moon, rendezvoused with an orbiting spacecraft, then brought them all back to Earth using technology that is 50 years older than what SpaceX is using, yet people are losing their minds because SpaceX launched and landed a big rocket. Something that easily could have been done decades ago but wasn't necessary until nut-job Elon decided he wants to colonize Mars (which will never happen). I guess people need something to be excited about. Reminds me of the fans who stand for the last shot in game 32 of the NBA season. Completely meaningless game but people still act like it's important. Really shows how empty most people's lives are.

That's an interesting perspective. The Apollo program was certainly an amazing achievement too. On the topic of what's worth celebrating, I'm very curious what ranks high on your list these days. I need to get some of that.

@@Gillissie I'm not saying what SpaceX did wasn't impressive, but it wasn't this huge leap in technological achievement people think it is, especially compared to what the Apollo engineers did. I think people are drastically overreacting to what SpaceX did.

@@AngkarYearZero It's good to see people excited about space travel again. For a long time, people didn't even thinking about it anymore. I can't speak for everyone, but for me personally, I'm excited to see progress being made, even if it's little steps at a time.

@@Gillissie I honestly don't see them doing anything "exciting" for a long time. We've already landed on the moon, built a space station and Mars, imo, will never happen. James Webb has been a bust. It has not revealed anything new. Space is just too big and too inhospitable. We would be better off focusing on this planet.

some fat fuck sitting in his mommy's basement talking shit about the biggest genius in the last 100 years. Spacex alone has shown that the moon landing was bull shit. If you still believe that we landed on the moon and it wasn't just a big government hoax and a cover up, you're a fking tool. Which judging from your entire post, you definitely are.
