4:16 the ship Mel Brooks wanted to go on for the entirety of the film! But the executives said no, they needed a plot! 😂😂 I watched this with Mel Brooks' commentary, which is on the DVD and the original laserdisc version! 😉😉 Pizza The Hutt is equivalent to Jaba The Hutt and Pizza Hut restaurant

Hey you awesome couple. Great reaction. So happy you loved the movie. To answer some of your questions, the reason Princess Vespa (the name of a popular Italian motor scooter) didn't like Prince Valium (Diazepam, a drug used to treat anxiety, alcohol withdrawal, seizures and muscle spasms) is because he was so boring, probably due to the fact that he (the prince) L 👀ks like he's ON Valium all the time (and yawning all the time) ... and a little gay/nerdy. Not fun for a beautiful Princess. Also, when Lone Starr called Princess Vespa a Druish Princess, you didn't seem to register the joke, but Mel Brooks is Jewish, and a common poke at the Jews for always being rich is that they're "rich and snobby" people, especially daughters of rich Jewish families. So, a right, snobby Princess would represent "a WORST case scenario" involving Jewish females. I like when Lone Starr and the group are trying to figure out what to do about Megamaid, and Barf keeps repeating everything Lone Starr says: Lone Star: Pray to God Barf: Praying to God ... Lone Star: I'm going down there Barf: He's going down there ... I woudn't ... (like you, making an obvious reference to oral sex) Other Notes: Colonel Sandurz's name was a reference to the food chain, Kentucky Fried Chicken's long-time spokesperson (and original owner), Colonel Sanders, which is why 1 of the jokes Dark Helmet made was, "What's a matter Sandurz ... chicken ???" The Head in the sand and the Gorillas on horses refer back to the original Planet of the Apes movie's final scene, where Charleton Heston is riding along the beach after escaping the "Apes", sees the Statue of Liberty's head and realizes where he actually is, after all the time thinking he was somewhere else.

Movie snacking that I do: Lots of buttered pop corn with raisinettes. I like t get a big handful of popcorn and put it in my mouth, then add a small amount of raisins in my mouth. Then chew. All the popcorn tastes like chocolate and raisin goodness. Thats just me though.

"...why is he yawning so much..." His name is Prince Valium. _Valium_ is a medication given for various reasons, and it tends to make people calmer and, yep, really tired. :) "...Pizza the Hutt..." I'm never sure with those not from North America whether you're aware of Pizza Hut or not, but since you watched Star Wars I'm pretty sure you're familiar with Jabba the Hutt. For that matter, I'm not sure if you're familiar with Kentucky Fried Chicken, which is sometimes known as Colonel Sander's Chicken. A brief search _does_ suggest, though, that both restaurant chains exist in India. Which isn't the same as them being known, so... dunno! Another joke, later, that most seem to skip is when Dark Helmet says "...there's only one man that would _dare_ give me the raspberry..." and I'm always left wondering, based on time and location, how many people get that reference. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6HXdJmZo8hggas "...what kind of beam..." Yeah... was a bit worried about that when you did the intro. In order to _entirely_ enjoy this movie you need to have seen a _lot_ of other stuff, not _just_ Star Wars. There's also references to the Indiana Jones movies, the original Star Trek series/movies, the Wizard of Oz, Alien, and the original Planet of the Apes. _All_ of those are, though, worth watching anyway. If you want some more comedy movies, I would suggest the following: Airplane! Top Secret Blazing Saddles Young Frankenstein
