My wife was teaching middle school (7th grade) math. It was the end of the year and the students were allowed to bring a video tape from home (yes, video tape as this was a long time ago). One student brought Space Balls. He started playing the movie and after a few minutes my wife thought she should call the office and see if this movie was OK. It wasn't and she was fired. I have always wished that I could tell Mel Brooks this story.
